The fact that Elizabeth can tell who has the ATA gene and who doesn't really shows how well she knows the people working for her. Both the military and non-military staff.

No, the others are wearing regular shooting goggles. Only John and Rodney are wearing yellow ones... so strange...

Sure is quiet today. But this may wake you up. The first 3 I sharpened a bit which helps. And I did the best I could with the motion blur on the flappy hanky one. If anyone can make it better, please share. Also feel free to snurch but if you make art, please share that with me. Thanks and enjoy.

I watched that ep so long ago, I should really rewatch it. The glasses were funky - maybe they ran out of the ordinary ones? Or, perhaps, someone gave John and Rodney yellow glasses as a prank?

Can some of you give me tips on what program you guys use to take episodes from the DVDs? I have an idea for a vid, but I don't have all eps I would like to use in digital format.

Um, uh. I used to know. *goes to look* This device. I have a VCR and a DVD recorder hooked up to it and it works great. Now the S3-S5 DVD's are blocked and you have to unscramble them. I solved that by recording the eps from TV onto DVD's. Now we have a new TV and you can record directly onto it. I use a video converter to solve the Mac problems that I downloaded. Why is all this so complicated?

(when Mara pushes John on the bed)

John pushed her off and quickly jumped off the bed again. "No no no."

"Do I not appease you?"

"What, no, you're beautiful, it's not that." He said and eyed her naked body once more before picking up her robe and handing it over to her.

"You are married then?"

"No, but I'm in a relationship with someone."

"Do you not share a bed with multiple people before you marry?"

John looked at her curiously. "Again: no. We stay faithful to the person we're with. Married or not."

Now Mara looked curiously. "But I need you to provide me with an heir."

John gaped at her for a moment. "Ok, hold on for a second, you want me to give you a kid?"

Mara nodded seriously.

"Look, even if I wasn't attached, there are some rules I demand myself to follow before impregnating a woman... especially when I'm on another planet."

"Can you not make an exception for once?"

He raised an eyebrow. "I don't think so."

She looked dissapointed, but gave him a nod anyway.

"I do not understand, but if those are your customs, I will keep to them."

"Thank you." John said and watched her leave the room.

Silence stretched between the two until eventually Elizabeth broke it.

"So, about that girl..."

John turned to her. "I don't know what it is. Honestly. I never see it coming. This one was worst of all. I was just being friendly and suddenly she was standing in front of me butt-naked."

Elizabeth's eyes widened, but John could see she was amused.

"And then she was pushing me on my bed, kissing me passionately while rambling about giving her an heir."

Elizabeth's eyebrow rose, but her features showed she getting more amused. "An heir?"

John nodded seriously. "Yeah. Apparently she was hot for my uber-ATA gene."

Although she bit her lip, she couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"It's not funny!"

"It is." Elizabeth giggled.

"I felt violated." John said offended.

"Of course you did." She answered semi-seriously but it was accompanied by another giggle.

"I was lucky to be able to push her off... she was nearly raping me."

Elizabeth gently touched his arm. "Awww, poor baby."

He harrumphed while she let go of his arm and smirked.

"You know, she was actually surprised I didn't want to betray you. Apparently they don't believe in faithfulness before marriage."

Now Elizabeth was intrigued. "Really?"

"Yeah. They think it's normal to sleep around until the moment they get married."

"It's amazing how different cultures can be."

"Definitely." John agreed. "I just hope I'll never have to face something like that again."

She gave him another smile. "I hope so too."

"Ah. Here you both are."

John rolled his eyes and Elizabeth smiled again.

"Yes, Rodney, here we are."

"Good, good. Colonel, I need to borrow you for a couple of minutes."

"A couple of minutes?" John asked while unbelieve laced his voice.

"Well... 30 minutes... an hour... max."

"Riiiiight." John said and gave Elizabeth a look. She just shrugged.

Sighing, John took a step away from the railing. "Fine, I'll be right there."

Rodney nodded and stepped back inside the city.

"I'll see you later for dinner?" John asked Elizabeth.

"Of course."

He gave her a grin, looked around to make sure no one was watching them and gave her a quick kiss.

"Great. See you then."

SyFy's rerunning The Siege, Part 2 right now... the Wraith just ran their first attack, and Atlantis is burning.

nephtys, your John and Elizabeth manip is so cute! I can just imagine the kind of trouble they've gotten into to find themselves in that situation. Heehee!

Hey bud! Hope your time clears up--not only do you have to work on writing, but football season starts on Saturday (well, Thursday, but also Saturday)! All eyes are on Derek Dooley!

And...in SS6 posting news, we have a little update. We are welcoming Irish Eyes as a writer!

I've spoken with her and a few of the administrative staff about what she can do and we've reached a working conclusion that I will now submit to the forum for y'alls approval:

Because of the amount of work it takes to oversee the project, plus my own writing schedule is pretty packed with Primum Movens, she's agreed to step in for me as writer of "Found in Translation", Episode 13. This will free me up to help with all second half episodes after Primum Movens. I am rather excited about this, because as much as I would have loved to write Found in Translation, it's nearness to the PM 2-parter worried me a bit.

I, in turn, will then take on Extinction, the 20th episode of the season. This is sandwiched next to the 2 part season finale, but sharing the writing rights for those with Scary Kitty, doing these three back to back doesn't really bother me (er, now, at least ).

Anyways, I wanted to let the forum have a heads up, but I will say that having Irish step in is much appreciated. With as much publicity as we've gotten so far for the season, I want it to be the best of the best, and having her added to the list of writers makes all our jobs a little easier--and frees up some more administrative staff to help with questions, writing, etc for the second half of the season. So yay for us!
