Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread
Hi guys. A little announcement.
I will stop posting on this forum for a moment. It was fun at the beginning but now I'm frustrated and sad. My post hurts some people and it's not my goal. Again Flowerbud, I'm sorry. It was not against you. I wasn't clear.
I'm with everyone else urging you not to take what happened too seriously. I mean, did you see what happened to me over there? And I was ROTFLMAO right in their faces. This has been a hard lesson for some of you newer people, but FH and others predicted exactly what would happen. And it was from experience. I can't say more but if you want to PM me, I'll tell you why this keeps happening.
If you leave, you will miss a lot and will look like you have some reason to feel guilty. Stay with us and keep Sparky at the top of the page. I would miss my little French daughter and might just cry.
HAHA. I don't remember how it started and I was the main culprit for the kerfuffle. Seriously, I was unhinged! Well, on another hand, mental illnesses are my hot button, but uh. When I think back .... I could use a diplomacy lesson or two from Elizabeth.
Oh! Can we have another Tower discussion?
NO. Unless you really do want to talk about storage closets and not that episode in season 2.

Visit us at SGA Rising for our version of season six.

Same old, same old.
I've seen worst, believe me. That's why I don't easily venture outside this thread.
Maybe now, but in the past I wasn't. 5 years ago I let people of another ship (Star Trek related) easily drag me in their little wars. It wasn't funny, it was really bad. And they took me to the point I crossed a line and got a permanent ban.
I will never do that again. I will cut my fingers and cancel my Internet subscription before this may happen.
Love it. Tell me your secret, how do you cut out so perfectly persons in a picture, I always have big problems, especially with hair.
Lol, not sure I have a secret
And I'm not that happy with some of the results because I agree: hair can be an absolute pain in the behind.
What I do is simple: I just add a mask to the image I want to cut and use the brush to cut the figure out. I don't use selections or filters or any of that crap, just an old-fashioned brush
What I do is adjust the settings of the brush.
I doubt this helped, but you wanted to know what I did
*clings to Probie* Don't go, please! I wish people wouldn't do what they did; that's what always spoils a fandom for everyone else. The suggestion to change your settings is a good one; you can set it so that you only get PMs from those you have added to your contact/friends list. And if some of those PMs you've been talking about have seemed at all threatening, go straight to the top and tell Darren. He seems to take this stuff more seriously than some. *huggles*
I suppose you could say that the hive feeds off the beam (or the ground when it has landed) but if they've culled recently it simply feeds straight from humans. I know it's sci fi, but I have trouble believing it could get enough energy out of humans to operate properly eg hyperspace, weapons etc when you compare it to the ground, where it could conceivably draw energy in the form of either heat (geothermal) or some other form of interaction that has yet to be explained. But lets face it, a good explanation will cover pretty much any scenario, if the situation arises
Regarding caps, try here. Screencaps section on the left of the page, pick "Atlantis" and go from there. *g* Also, I know for a fact that Scary Kitty has a good source I always forget about.
Yeah, it's one of the reasons I stay in this safe corner too. I love the people here, why would I go anywhere else?
I don't like going outside the thread anymore either.

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon.Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.
4 members and 6 guests currently online? Wow, Sparky sure must be popular this morning! Hi lurkers, come and play with us!

Sorry, one of those lurkers was me. I hadn't logged in yet
A subject that's not really sparky, so I guess I should spoil it
Spoiler:
The black armband that Shep wears. Has there ever been a reason given for it? Is it because Joe wears that bracelet thingee, and when he takes it off, presumably there is a massive tan line? Or is there another reason?

Joe's been asked about it, but he's never given a reason. I guess it's one of the great mysteries of Shep.

Ah. I'd never seen the bracelet before until I saw it in a sig. Just thought it might've had something to do with it, given that it'd be obvious when he took it off that there had been something there. Maybe it's one of those (in AT's words) hokey actor things that helps them get in character - bracelet on, all Joe, armband on, all Shep. Or something else entirely *shrugs*

"Hokey actor things." *snorts*

Aah, that is a mystery, isn't it?
Spoiler:
But I doubt it's cause of a tan line as the bracelets he's wearing are usually not that tightly strapped... at least the one he was wearing at Fedcon wasn't
I think a wedding ring would leave a bigger mark. I once took my ring off (not a wedding ring) and I've been wearing day in and day out for about 4 years and it took months before my skin looked normal again.
