Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread
I will be the annoying girl (Take this one Fionnait. French word is "chieuse") but I'm not fan of those names. I think there are great but not here. I'm a little tired with the name with "a" at the end...Chaya, Sora, Teyla, Kolya, Allina, Laura, Ava, Helia, Melena, Nola, Perna, Zelenka....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. All those names are onthe show.
I offer Tanith ... it's first name of one of my favourite SciFi/Fantasy writers (Tanith Lee), doesn't end with A.
It's a name I wanted to use in my fic SoF, but considering I have writer's block, the name is free for you to use, if you like it
How about Maeve, Lorraine or Ailbhe. They're celtic and don't end with an A. (I was going to suggest Deirdre and Aoife, too, but they pronouce like there was an A at the end.)
Sparky Shipper. Genetically predisposed to being stubborn... really pesky.

In SG1 - Tanith was host to Shaun'ac's goa'uld larvae. Shaun'ac had been mislead to believe that her larvae wanted to join the resistance, but in fact it wanted nothing more than to please his master and have the Tok'ra exterminated. Tanith served the Goa'uld, and was responsible for the attack on the Tollan new homeworld.
I didn't say that I hate names with an "a" but too much "a" kill the "a".(don't know if there is a english translation for this expression). I can take my list again. "chaya, sora aaaaaaaaaaaa..........."lol
I aslo have a thing with names with "an" or "en" at the end.
Baden, Cowen, Aiden, Torren, Coleman,Cadman,Emmagan,Fran, Evan, Tagan, Kanaan,....And it's just SGA.
Hate to butt in here as I'm not doing any of the writing or creative stuff, but as a fan I would start having a real squicky age difference thing if you paired this gal up with Shep (the actress was born in 79). I liked Nancy so much because she was more of an age with him. (and it was one of the things that truly turned me off from McKeller). Surely there must be a slightly more mature, beautiful actress out there who could catch Shep's eye and heart? Again, sorry to intrude...
