The amusing thing in Germany is that there was supposed to be a pilot strike, which they called off because of the volcano situation, so it would not further aggrevate the situation. Hello? If you can't fly at all, how is a pilot stike going to make it worse?

Sparky Shipper. Genetically predisposed to being stubborn... really pesky.

Eri, I love the mini analysis. It's so interesting to note that John gets so bothered - he looks one step away from furious - and Elizabeth still is holding his side, in a way. or at least that's how it comes across in the post, I haven't seen this episode.
I'm not weird, I'm limited edition.

We're still on Quietus. In addition to the title change, we had discussed a bit on what the condition of Elizabeth's nanites ought to be at the end of the episode... drew, did you have anything in particular you wanted to ask/discuss on this one?

Heehee! Yeah, we seem to be doing just fine at the moment. As long as we've got a nice comfy place to talk and hang out, it's all good.

Plus, the stuff about Elizabeth's potential 'recovery':

That was a lot for him to say, considering how he didn't acknowledge Elizabeth much or the whole Elizabeth situation. Darn him.
Hedging his bets in case the movie(s) never get made, so that at least fans know where they were thinking of going, perhaps? We'll probably never know.

And that was a great analysis of Irresistible! Darn, does that mean I have to go watch that one again? I'll have to hold my nose during the Lucius scenes...

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon. Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

Are you kidding? We are the most lazy people in Europe. There are 30 strikes per day here.lol
We are specialist and very smart for this.

There was a pilot strike here just before the volcano. When I said "we're specialist for this", I'm not kidding.

Do you want to laugh again. France is a magic country. No planes, train strikes and.....what my boss said to me before I go "Becareful tomorrow, there is a road closed for some repairs". And me "pff, it's not for me".
Surprise, surprise....it's the road that I have to take.Hopefully, this road will be closed during a time that I won't be there....if I'm not late.lol
          I prefer to laugh.

Eri:Love your analysis. For the last scene, I always thought there were a little joke "behind the scene". David, Torri and Joe seem to try not to laugh. It's maybe just me. I know this little scene is funny but I have this impression.

Despite the inanity of the actual episode, I'm sure the actors had fun in certain respects filming some of that stupidity. Like Paul, and maybe Rachel (because some of her lines are delivered so tongue in cheek--like the 'yes, I hope I did not offend him' line and I was completely giggling at her expression as she defends her herbs from John). I have NO idea how Joe held it together when Paul has Carson start crying. That whole moment is just hysterical. I would never have been able to do it.

Even Jason got some funny stuff, though it wasn't delivered the very best. But he's funny with his 'a wise and caring individual' line in Weir's office.

Eri, that was great. I've always thought Irresistible was very Sparky. I noticed too in the liplicking pic that a random Marine behind them is grinning like a loon. Now maybe he's supposed to be high on herb Lucious, but he seems to be grinning at our couple.

I also remember how mad John got when Lucious told him Elizabeth was off making him lunch.

I read over the stuff on the comm over the weekend, but I need some time to wrap my head around it all...I do have questions, they just don't make any sense right now...I should have some quiet time today and tomorrow to get my thoughts together.

Ack, now you're making me want to watch Irr - horror! Just to see funny Jason and Rachel. I've seen the scene with crying Carson and it's completely hysterical. I've read somewhere that John had to help him blow his nose, because his (Carson's/Paul's) hands were tied. AND THEY CUT TAHT SCENE OUT!!!!!

And didn't Torri say something about how the zipper on her shirt kept getting lowered as a nod to Galaxy Quest?

Even when the crew is drugged, they all know that Sparky is where it's at.

I could swear that clip was made available somewhere... was it in the special features on the DVDs? It's been a while since I've seen them, but I know I've watched that clip before. *scratches head*

Sounds good. We can keep this episode open for discussion and wait until next week to move on to the next episode. Looking forward to reading your thoughts on this one!
