Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread

My Internet or my computer are acting up. I get nothing when I click. Can you tell me what is it?

I need something to cheer me up too and I wouldn't mind a bit of sillyness or creativity - not that we lack either, but I'd like something SILLY right now. So. Could we play a short game and count all possible AU scenarios for Elizabeth and John? You know, total AUs, with complete recasting of characters into new roles. This can include total AUs you've already read somewhere (or had written).

I offer:

1. John as a rockstar (and Elizabeth as his agent, eventually)
2. John and Elizabeth as owners of competing restaurants (that one I'm going to write).
3. Detective AUs (there are probably dozen of sparky - detective setups).

What you've got, guys?

That's sounds a bit like "You've got mail". Except it's bookshops.

6. John is a very wealthy recluse and Elizabeth is his child's nanny. (Hello Jane Eyre)

I actually read a novel like that...with a male nanny (called "The Manny") and the idea carries with it a lot of interesting gender issuey kinda things (wow, look at me using that psych degree lol)....it's a cool idea to pursue, him being the nanny.... (the book I read, the woman was married, rich, unhappy, blah blah blah...not how, if I were going to, I would write it using John and Elizabeth....)

And man, I could do think of a great soundtrack for the Shep as a musician and Lizzie as his agent. (Maybe have Lizzie be the record company exec trying to make him change his music.) Maybe I'll write something to cheer me up later.
