Ok now I undestand. So who, on this thread, is happy or not?

I agree with SR. Like this idea (But if he stays alive and alone, I will be happy. Not only because I'm a Sparky). I like the fact is the only one to no have a happy ending in EATG. This episode is too much "Club Med" for me. Everybody has someone. Don't know if you know "Club Med" in your country. A stupid french company. They offer trips. Sometimes it is special for singles and at the end of the adventure everyone has a lover. And blablabla. Stop me when I talk for nothing.lol

*stands up and applauds* My thoughts exactly. And if John got away with stuff, so did Rodney. She was friends with both of them but invoked her authority when she needed to and I think they respected her. The line in TOR when John said "Elizabeth made me" to Rodney just tickled me to death. You could take that on a personal level or you could take it as she put on her boss hat and ordered him to do it. Either way, it showed he certainly did not get away with much. The Game is also an excellent example of how she clamped down on them when necessary.

Really, of the two of them, I think that Rodney was the one who tended to run over Elizabeth's authority more. It's not because he didn't respect her, we all know that Rodney did truly respect Elizabeth... I chalk it up to Rodney's general lack of some of the social niceties more than anything else. He wanted to do his thing, and didn't want to slow down and wait for the doors to be opened. It's more of a 'better to ask forgiveness afterward than get permission before' kind of thing, I think.

I too would be happy with John dying in the final final. But alas we may not ever get to that stage. I don't think they would ever let him have a happy ending like Teyla got. Or even a stable relationship like McKeller.

Yup, because John's the big damn hero, and that means he's got to be screwed over.

Well I don't like my favourite characters to die, but if that was really necessary I'd hope he'd reach ascended Elizabeth and live as pure energy with her for eternity

Morning Sparklettes. I was almost afraid to get up today since yesterday was such a weird one at my house...bad news, unusually good news, unexpected phone calls, unusual events that finally ended with hubby having to handle a huge work crash right at bedtime. I'm hoping for a calm day today. I think I'm badly in need of a Sparky fix.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully today will be better. This week's been weird for me, too. Not in a bad way, necessarily, but in that I've had this big project due and now I'm in the line-up for my tennis team on Friday (which I didn't want to be) and my work world is all jumbled up. I can't wrap my head around today, much less the next week.

I'm ready for my life to straighten out a bit.
