Now that's a good question. We know Elizabeth plays Solitaire and Chess. The first is pretty mindless and takes her mind off things and the second takes so much concentration she can't think about anything else. John plays war/civilization games and plays with remote control cars. I don't know much about computer games. I play some of the dumb ones on Facebook but Around the World in 80 Days is my first actual computer game. Maybe it's because it's a bit literary that I like it. LOL

What game would Elizabeth hide from John or vice versa?

I think John plays chess too, although perhaps not the computer kind.

I just got finished watching First Strike and Adrift essentially back-to-back. (FS last night before bed, Adrift this morning at the gym--I almost fell off my elliptical during the woobie!John scene).

Needless to say, I'm a bit sad right now. However, I will be doing screen cap farming today so we can begin our recaps for them hopefully tomorrow. My plan is such:

This week, we'll do FS and Adrift essentially back-to-back, because that's how I think they should be handled. I will do First Strike questions before I recap Adrift because the Sparky wattage is pretty high in both, but we'll still do them both quickly.

Early next week, I'm going to do Lifeline, then a small 'filler' recap of the few Sparky/Elizabeth moments, then This Mortal Coil.

We'll then, the following week, do the final scene of Be All My Sins Remember'd and Ghost in the Machine.

It's going to be angsty, yes, so I'm sorry. I'm ending my recaps with GITM because, as this is the Sparky thread 1) there isn't much direct sparkage in the episodes beyond GITM and 2) I haven't seen most. I'm not doing a mini recap between BAMSR and GITM because honestly I can't discuss anything that happened after Midway as I didn't watch.

If someone else wants to, please feel free to step in and let me know.

I expect GOOD discussion of these most Sparky of final episodes, though.

I'll then have a small treat for everyone at the end of it all.

I'm looking forward to good discussion, even though it's going to be angsty. I think we can handle angst here. However, I'd be very sad if this would be the end of our discussions, so I'm suggesting again to think up a game plan, episode - watching plan, something. One of my favorite things about shipping these two are our discussions and friendships - we may not know each other in the real sense of the word, but we share thoughts so very often. I'd hate to lose that.

Oh, I don't intend to let discussion go. I think it's been REALLY busy for a lot of people recently. But we'll have to come up with something to occupy our time.

What's funny is I basically strong-armed myself into watching First Strike. Don't get me wrong, it's a good episode, and I love the special effects and the kick@$$ Elizabeth we get. But it's just the 'general' idea of it, you know what I mean...

As I was driving to the gym this morning, though, I found I needed to watch Adrift. Maybe I was in need of the woobie!scene, or just resolution or something, but I figured since I wanted to watch, I better do it now rather than dragging my feet.

Lifeline, TMC and GITM I'll be alright with...it's just getting over the mental stuff of all of what FS and Adrift represent. I'm more amenable to stuff once Elizabeth is gone, but I hate being reminded of foolish decisions, and that's what FS and Adrift are to me.

Elizabeth's storyline, and the way it was handled, was a crime in terms of science fiction. There's no show out there that did this to their leader.

I always wondered what would happen if Simon and John were to meet. As I'm stuck in angsty-world for the next few weeks, I thought about it more in terms of what would happen when John brought back Elizabeth's stuff after TMC...
