I still ask if a lady wants my seat on the train, open doors, walk on the side next to traffic, pull their chair out, stand when a lady joins/leaves the table, and you get the idea of old school chivalry. Apparently this makes me some kind of misogynist. Even though I've never called a lady "sweetie", "doll", "toots", etc. I acted the same way toward my last boss, who was a woman in the steel mill, as I have any other bosses. I think Shep and me share the idea of, "manliness is holding a door for lady with one hand, and breaking a muggers face with the other."
