Okay, Sparkies, many of you have read my praises of the awesome Stargate: Renaissance AU series on LJ. Season 2 of the series has now drawn to a close with the story Measure Every Grief, at the very end of which is a certain reunion that we've been waiting for over a year to see.

Exactly what my husband said. He's only seen this once and has forgotten most of it so it's like watching it with him for the first time. He immediately saw the Shep/Ford comparison even when John and Ronon were running. He said the...gym scene...was sexual assault and it wouldn't have mattered who was there. He mentioned the shippers and couldn't believe it when I told him it's considered to be romantic. LOL

In the Lizzie/Caldwell "you're very close" scene, he chuckled and said she was being defensive. He was surprised that people ship Weir/Caldwell. LOL And he said that Shep was trying to protect Lizzie from himself. I love my husband. He is a very perceptive man.

Here's a little preview of how I would have brought Lizzie back. Now I love our ship, so don't take this badly and kick me out of the thread. I'm just taking it in a different direction.

Jonathan Sheppard could feel himself beginning to break. The probing of his mind was cracking his will by bringing all the pain he tried to bury back into his thoughts. But the torture was not the most painful part. The worst pain was seeing his captor's face and hearing her words driven by bitterness.

"Why are you doing this?" John asked as his tormentor approached.

"Because John," she grabbed Sheppard's chin and looked him in the eye, "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned."

"Elizabeth..." was all John could say before Elizabeth's hand entered his head.

*shudders* Ooo... No thread-kicking-out required there. It would have been very interesting if they'd gone that way (and awesome too!).

I totally would have gone for a (temporary) Evil Lizzie. Especially because

1) Torri would have pulled it off beautifully, especially with the stares she could give

2) John would have suffered. ANGST CENTRAL. It would have been glorious.

Though I would never had had Elizabeth do it consciously. For me, it would have been evil Niam replicator nanites having taken her over (as he tried to do in The Real World) and controlling her mind. She would have had to be broken of their control--which, of course in paralleling TRW, only John could help her do.

But the awesomeness of Evil!Elizabeth attacking the Atlantis crew, and then the big, awesome ending of them either having to decide to destroy her or save her, and of course Woolsey makes the difficult decision of having to fire on her and John just can't let that happen, so he defies orders and finds a way on and confronts her and she suffers as the real Elizabeth tries to break through and can't let the evil nanites controlling her hurt John and eventually he succeeds in getting to her and she breaks free of the nanite control and they run to get off the ship before it explodes in exact parallelism to the ending scene of Lifeline only this time she's with them and...

*BREAAAAAAAAATHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS*

It would have been awesome. *cries*

was reading the whole john/elizabeth shopping thing and i was thinking what kind of shoes does John Wear. I think Converse cause im a converse (Chuck Taylor) Person myself.

Since he's military his shoes while in uniform have to be military issue. Here

Thanks y'all for the kind words about the fics. SR Seeing Ronon do "All Shook Up" would be HIlarious. I thought having the "cool kids" (Shep, Lorne, and Ronon) liking Holly and the "nerdy kids" (McKay, Lizzie, and Teyla) like Elvis was pretty ironic since you'd figure it'd go the other way. Anuna Elvis huh. I dig the King. But I feel Elvis had more impact on pop culture in general, but Buddy Holly had more influence on rock music.

For an athletic shoe, I don't know. I like New Balance since they make different widths, foot shapes, arch supports, ect. Now dress shoes, we saw wardrobe put some ugly square toe monstrosities on his feet. Seeing as he came from money, I though he'd be Alden or Allen Edmonds (my pair came in to day )for American shoes. Maybe John Lobb bespoke (British) or some high end Italian maker.

Generally the fam uses the computer so there's always someone on it. That's why it's difficult for me to do the post-a-thons, cuz I have to kick people off on the days I'm home.

Love how the security team listens to Weir instead of Caldwell about using deadly force. Hah!

I enjoy the Caldwell/Weir scenes. I could see the shipping aspect from others, because Torri and Mitch Pileggi I think had fun playing opposite one another--and, they had that tension that I think the writers initially thought Weir would have with Sheppard.

What's cool about that relationship is that it never loses that tension, and yet they seem to develop a mutual respect for one another. I like how Caldwell doesn't sell her out in Misbegotten, yet she still goes for the throat in episodes like Sateda. He seemed to understand her passion and her responsibilities and never let one or the other throw him.

I don't think we ever saw Caldwell's reaction to her death, did we?

We never saw Cladwell's reaction. But we never saw the reaction of the others except in one episode.lol

I finished my drawing on John and Elizabeth but I don't want to put colors in it. I hate "coloring". It's not important huh?lol
