I'm making the fic very basic so you won't get confused or bored with too much detail. Plus, you know me, it will be very amusing.

Is there a difference between college football and football in general in your country? I'm little confused about that.sigpic

Originally posted by pkprd869 View PostSouthern Red, I love college football too. I proudly wear orange and sing Rocky Top at the top of my lungs during the season. Are you a UVA or VT fan? I think Shep is from California, so he's probably a USC fanI'm sure the fic is gonna be great, I cant wait.
Makes sense for Shep. He definitely seems more like a Trojan than a Bear or a Bruin. LOL I'm sorry Bama is no longer around the thread. We had some good football fun in those days. Roll Tide!
Oh, and Probie. College football is a lot more fun. We have songs and mascots and cheers and funny nicknames and...all that stuff. Like the Hail Mary pass in Hide and Seek.

And as Elizabeth is a proud proponent of Red & Black I do not feel alone in this matter. >8D
EDIT: I'm kidding, BTW. At least until the start of the 2009 season. ;PLast edited by Eri13; 16 June 2009, 11:35 AM.Visit SGArising.com to read our virtual continuation of the Atlantis series!

You have to prove yourself at the college level before you can play at the Pro Level (generally).
The rules are a little different for college and Pro football--some rules let Pro football be rougher because it's played with older players--but in general they're the same type of game.Visit SGArising.com to read our virtual continuation of the Atlantis series!

Let's just say the game is the same with a few differences in rules but the teams are different.
Hokies all the way baby. Ain't no wahoos around here.

So the game in Hide and Seek is a college football. It looks professional.

No we don't have university teams. In addition, our fantastic *sigh*president (or dictator as you wish lol) wants to remove the sport at school and university. We are far from having the same thing than you.sigpic

That Hail Mary pass in H&S was one of the all time great plays of college football. For me, I prefer college football because it just has a different feel than Pro Football (what we refer to as the NFL, or National Football League). College football is all about supporting where you went to school, and the young players who are playing for your school. It's great stuff.Visit SGArising.com to read our virtual continuation of the Atlantis series!

That game in H&S is a famous game between Boston College and Miami played in 1984. Look here . Professional and college look pretty much the same.

That's awful. College sports really help with school spirit, provide great social life and just make everybody happy.

Since I work for a sports network, I have to have a little professional courtesy, too.Not only in general working with all the teams, but because the fans here are diverse, and a nice bunch of people. Most of the people on the production side have very strong loyalties, but it wouldn't do for any of us to kill each other on a day-to-day basis.

In France, there are some sports competition between universities (soccer, handball ,...) but it is not so popular and so big.

Good afternoon, Sparkies! Happy Smutty Tuesday!

Sports and favorite teams and Sparky, oh my! I was figuring that Lizzie's favorite baseball team might be further east than Chicago; she seems more like an East Coast girl.As for Shep, yeah, he might be a USC fan, like me (GO TROJANS!
); there was also that line he said in Outcast about Stanford...
*huggles Probie* I'm sorry your sports are getting canceled... that sucks!(This is legal notice that any attempt to censor or delete, for the purpose of oppressing fair and open discussion, any statement made by me will be considered a violation of my right to free speech as guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, and will be dealt with in accordance with federal law.)
Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon. Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.
