Come on, someone has to tackle this.
Yunadax, my queen of missing scenes, I know you're still very busy with the save-Elizabeth fic, but can't you tackle this one? Please, pretty please, with lots of chocolate on top?

if u had to pick which characters from to atlantis would be as star trek characters which ones would they be. I think John Sheppard would definitely be James T. Kirk. i can imagine Carson Being McCoy.

I dunno... John would make a great Kirk, but he's not really the womanizer like McKay says he is...
I could see Carson as McCoy, but a much less grumpier McCoy
And Rodney as Scotty would be nice, especially since both constantly whine that they have to save the day

Nah. I think Carson would make better Scotty, because his behavior is much more like Scotty's. And Rodney would make a PERFECT McCoy. I'm wondering whom to cast as Spock.

ETA: Yeah, it works on LOST and 24. So what? Both are very different shows. What works on them isn't necessarily going to work on Stargate. Grr.
The producers of Lost have clearly said earlier in the show that each character could die (even Jack). They informed us so is not the same thing. In addition, the death of a character has an impact on the story and the other characters. In Stargate, when there is a death, nobody cares. They are almost ready to do a party.lol I exaggerate but I'm not too far from the reality.
They are different shows but each TV show should have some "continuity". They can't talk about something in one episode and for the next episode forget this. And unfortunately, Stargate does this.

                OT SGA movie

                Spoiler:
If there is a romance for Sheppard, it's not Larrin. She won't be in the movie. I hope that he will be alone. No romance for John and Ronon, please....

Who what? this request fic is Rodney using intel of Lizzy eating lunch with Mike to make John jealous???
Can someone elaborate for me so I don't start madly typing on the wrong fic!

Not much to elaborate on I think... You can see in Sunday that McKay saw Liz and Mike eating lunch together and someone pointed out he looked surprised by that. It would be typical for Rodney if he'd use that information (Liz having lunch with another man and leaving together with him) to make John jealous (willingly or unwillingly). My bunny is going for unwillingly

I (or the bunny at least) was thinking along the lines of:
                    Spoiler:
We're about a week after Carson's funeral and while John and Rodney are waiting for the others to join them for a team-briefing, John lets slip that one of the nurses asked him out to dinner during Carson's funeral. First McKay is disgusted by the fact he's picking up women at a funeral but when John tells him he isn't sure he should accept because of his high position in the expedition, Rodney is surprised and lets slip something along the lines of: 'if Elizabeth can have lunch with a scientist, why shouldn't you have dinner with one?'
John looks absolutely shocked, but can't elaborate any further as the other enter at that moment (dramatic timing )
After the briefing, John corners McKay and demands to know more and he gives it all away: Liz having lunch with Mike Branton, she appeared to have a good time and they left the messhall together.
John is visibly shocked and he runs away, leaving an equally shocked and surprised Rodney behind.
When John finally tracks her down to one of the balconies, he finds her crying (still mourning Carson's passing) and even though he desperately wants to ask her about that lunch, he knows now is not the time and comforts her instead.
Comfort leads to more, kissy kissy, blablabla...
In the end (or next morning in bed ) he finally dares asking her about the lunch. She asks if he's jealous. He tries to deny it, but she can see straight through him (they can so read each other's minds). And she confesses that it was a way for her to try and forget about an impossible relationship with her second in command.
                    *squee!*

But again, this is the major outline of my bunny and I really don't have the time to fully write it out *curses exams*
So you just do with it whatever you like

I’m back for the analysis of my mom (and little mine because it’s the result of our conversation).
Today: Hide and Seek / 38 minutes.
So first Hide and Seek. I hope that I will be clear.

                        A little OT
                        Spoiler:
It’s strange to see Grodin and Halling. I have the impression to watch an another show.
We laughed when John pushed Rodney of the balcony and when he is proud to say to Elizabeth “I shot him…in the leg”. A nice little scene between them. Then we see that Mr Untouchable is stupid but in a good way. I love this Rodney.
The scene with Shep and the kids is funny. He can’t scare them.
Sheppard treated Teyla like a buddy.

My mom said (pop corn and football scene): “we see the beginning of a great friendship between all the members of the team and complicity between John and Elizabeth”. Wise lady
So the story continues…and my mom said again “Why is he so close to her? He is always next to her or look at her.” Ask this to TPTB not me, mom. (Sorry. Sometimes this analysis looks like a dialogue but I give you my answers too.lol).
To conclude, there is no real sparky scene in this episode. As my mother said (again): "everything is in the looks and the behavior." She likes the same character as me ie: Rodney, John and Weir. There are some good scenes between them.

Next post: 38 minutes (if you want of course)

Very good observations by your mom. It is good to see how people view Sparky who haven't been watching as long as we have.

                          Bring on 38 Minutes.

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon. Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

What can I say about "38 Minutes" except the fact that this is probably where all began. Maybe not for me because I missed this the first time. No I can't say that I missed this because even if I was not a shipper at the beginning, I remember thought about this episode "Ok if there is a ship in SGA, it will be Weir/Sheppard" . I discuss about this with my mom and she almost yelled at me "How can you not see this? He loves her..." Easy mom, now I see this. Stop yelling please...It's a show...lol
First, I want to say: Weir’s clothes are horrible and please cut Teyla’s hair. OK now I can begin.
My mom loves this episode. Weir is worried for her men especially for John. For her, he can’t die.
Me, I especially like Elizabeth in this episode. I love the way she treats Kavanagh. Yes she the governor so stop talking Mister and go back to save her man. And the scene between Halling and her is just fantastic. She’s a good leader and…ok you don’t here for me but for my mother.lol You have to wait the next post.
