I just see "The Princess Bride." I have not found the reply "Life is not fair - it's just fairer than death." I hope that I have seen the good movie.lol
According to this movie, we can say that John is a true romantic. Now I understand why he loves this movie. It's him and Elizabeth. There is full reference to Sparky in this.

First, Wesley is dressed in black and the princess in red = Yes like John and Elizabeth
Wesley does anything to save his beloved = John in every episode where Elizabeth is in danger.
The Princess sacrifices herself (she returned with the prince= replicator) to save the life of Wesley= Lifeline
Wesley also has a stupid sense of humor like John. Lot of examples
The man with 6 fingers (= wraith) took some years of life to Wesley when he tortures Wesley with the machine = Common ground
The giant and the Spanish = Ronon and Rodney.
Wesley carries the princess = Echoes

Oh my god! I can’t believe that I compare this movie with SGA. It’s late. I’m tired. Sorry for that. lol

My husband and I just rewatched that movie last weekend. The line John quoted to Elizabeth is not in the movie, but I'm told it's in the book.

And Rodney's country from The Game, Geldar, is a country mentioned in the movie.

I always wished John would say as you wish to Elizabeth. *sigh*

Heehee! That is cool! I had never thought about all the parallels. Rodney and Ronon as the Sicilian and Fezzik... that is such an accurate comparison it makes me laugh every time I think about it. Rodney is arrogant and completely convinced of his own intellectual superiority, just like Vizzini. I feel the sudden need to hear Rodney say "Inconceivable!!" Because he so would. *more giggling* That has the potential for a really entertaining AU. I can just see him yelling at Ronon and just freaking out when the Dread Pirate Sheppard begins to close in on them. *more laughter* Sorry... I just fine that whole idea extremely funny.

And hey, I find SGA tie ins everywhere too. Nothin' to be sorry for.

i was thinking about writing a two chapter (or if i wanted to could be one long chapter) story about It's Alternate Universe And John Sheppard is on Earth on Father's day and He Goes to the cementary and he looks at it and it says "Elizabeth Weir-Sheppard Beloved Wife, Friend and Mother and under neath it says "James Sheppard- The Son who the world will never know" cause in the AU Weir and Sheppard Got Married, Weir Got Pregnant and When The Replicators Attacked She Died. I dont know i may change it up a little bit.
