Gentle reminder, folksies--not everyone in the forum has seen Season 5, and though I know there are some who don't care about being spoiled, it's still nice to keep any and all GITM (and for that matter, Season 5) references/quotes/etc in spoilers.

    Best Sparky quotes:

    1-20:
    Spoiler:
    1. John Sheppard, are you defending my honor?

    2. The bedroom scene in The Return part I (get your minds out of the gutter ladies. I'm referring to the one on Atlantis where they are all gangly and awkward and almost look like they are about to say something else but don't dammit)

    3. Kolya!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    4. SHEPPARD: Good. Wouldn’t be the same without you. (Bedroom scene in Home)

    5. Sheppard: Listen, uh, I'd like to say something while I still can. (38 minutes - before he wants to spill his guts to her but Ford interrupts him)

6.CARTER: Being in Doctor Weir’s old office made you think of that, didn’t it?

    7. Elizabeth: Who is this? (Rising - when she sees him for the first time)

    8. SHEPPARD: It's better for the both of us. (Conversion)

9.(After the hug) WEIR: Yes, you are. I truly thought ...
SHEPPARD: Yeah, yeah, I thought the same thing about you a minute ago. We gotta stop that!
    (Elizabeth nods.)
    WEIR: I'd like that!

    10. WEIR: You can't.
SHEPPARD: I have to, and you know it.
WEIR (shaking her head): John ... (They stare at each other *eye!sex* for a few moments, then she realizes that there is no other way.) Go.

    11. SHEPPARD: Elizabeth, you’re with me -- or I’m with you, however you wanna put it.
WEIR: Either [ee-ther] way ... or either [eye-ther] way.

    12. John: Sorry about that, I had to, uh...you okay?
    Elizabeth: No.
John: You will be. Come on!
    (The Eye)

    13. Carson: We're losing her.
John: Not yet we're not. (breaks quarantine and grabs her arm: TRW)

    14. John: You do realise I can get us into all sorts of trouble, right?

    15. SHEPPARD: Atlantis, this is Sheppard.
    WEIR: John?!
SHEPPARD: What other Sheppards do you know?

    16. WEIR: Are you alright?
SHEPPARD: Yeah. Two arms, ten fingers ... (he looks down) I'll check the rest later.
(and we just know Lizzie's going to help with that 'check'!)

    17. SHEPPARD: I knew you'd say yes!
    WEIR: I haven't said yes.
SHEPPARD: Well, you were about to.
(Elizabeth narrows her eyes at him for a moment.) WEIR: Yes.
    SHEPPARD: There y'go!
    WEIR: Hmm.

    18. SHEPPARD: I was just thinkin’ again – about Doctor Weir and everyone else on Atlantis.
TEYLA: Of course. I am sure she is fine – as I am sure they are all fine.[/b] (Home)

    19. John: (He reaches into his pack and takes out a round shape wrapped in cloth.) Picked this up on the mainland. The Athosians made it. (He hands it to Elizabeth.) Happy birthday.
(Elizabeth stares at him, part pleased and part annoyed.)
Liz: Hmm. (She unwraps the cloth and finds an earthenware pot with a lid.) It's beautiful. (She looks at him.) How did you find out?
John: Mum's the word. (He goes back inside. Elizabeth looks at her present and smiles.)

    20.
    SHEPPARD: Elizabeth.
WEIR (still staring down at Oberoth): Get to the Jumper.
    SHEPPARD: You’re coming with us.
(Ronon gets a clear shot and fires his weapon at Oberoth. The blast hits him but has no effect.)
WEIR: I can’t keep them frozen much longer!
SHEPPARD: We’re not leaving you behind!
WEIR: If you don’t leave right now, none of us will get out of here, so go. (She turns her head slightly towards John.) THAT’S AN ORDER!
(Her distraction breaks her concentration. Oberoth drops her hand and a blast from a Replicator weapon behind him heads towards Ronon. He ducks out of the way and turns to run, grabbing at John to get him moving.)
    DEX: Come on!
    SHEPPARD (anguished): Elizabeth!
(As Replicators hurry down the corridor from behind Oberoth, Elizabeth turns and yells at John.)
    WEIR: Go!
(John’s last glimpse of Elizabeth is her frantic face as Replicators surround her. As they seize her arms, John and Ronon race off around the corner.)

    21. John: I’m just saying ...
Liz: Yes, you can be next.
John: Thank you! (Tao of Rodney)

    22. JORDAN: Well, sir, there's someone here who would like to have a word with you.
(Rodney frowns in confusion. Jordan steps out of the way. A couple of seconds later, Elizabeth walks into view. John and Rodney's eyes widen and they stare in disbelief.)
    SHEPPARD: Elizabeth!
    WEIR (smiling): Hello, John.

    23.
    Spoiler:
Liz in computer: I'm sorry to cause all this trouble. Who's there with you? Is -- is John Sheppard there?
(John hesitates for a long time, then speaks nervously.)
    John: Hi.
Liz in computer: It's so good to hear your voice again.(GitM)

    24.
    Spoiler:

SHEPPARD: You said you broke off from them -- that they couldn't track you.
KORACEN: Track her? She was the one who alerted us, when the time was right, to come. We were only following her commands.
FRAN/WEIR: John, listen to me. I had to bring them here. It was our only chance; our only way out. I didn't know that Koracen would cause this kind of trouble.
(John looks between the two of them, almost as if deciding which one to shoot first.)
FRAN/WEIR: I didn't think that anyone would get hurt.
SHEPPARD: What did you think we were gonna do: just give you a bunch of Replicator bodies and send you on your way?
FRAN/WEIR: I truly believed that we were no threat to you.
SHEPPARD: You may still think that you're Elizabeth, but you're not.
(FRAN/Elizabeth looks at him, hurt. As she bows her head in pain, the lights come on. Taking advantage of the distraction, Koracen charges at John, pulls his rifle out of his hand and hurls him hard against the wall. As he slumps to the floor, FRAN/Elizabeth races over and grabs Koracen, slamming him angrily back against the wall. Before he can react, she pushes her fingers into his forehead and concentrates. John looks up from the floor in confusion. She pulls her fingers out again and Koracen disintegrates into tiny pieces.)
    (GITM)

    25. WEIR: Well – the beard is interesting! (Epiphany)

    26. John: It's kinda weird, that's all. I mean, I don't see you for all this time and then five minutes later I find out ...
    (He trails off.)
Liz: ... that I'm dead. Yeah. Don't worry – the moment I learned the truth, I knew there'd be no going back the way things were – not for me, not for any of us.
    (TMC)

    27. SHEPPARD: You're a hopeless romantic, you know that?
WEIR (smiling at him): Well, *you're* just as hopeless, otherwise you wouldn't have agreed.
    (TLG)

    28. SHEPPARD: We haven’t given up hope. If there’s a chance she’s still alive, I’ll find her.
    CARTER: I know
    (Lifeline)

    29. Liz: Hey, what are you doing up so late?
John: Couldn't sleep. (He goes to a coffee pot and pours himself a drink.) Must be the, uh, burden of command -- you know, ever since I was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. (He sits down opposite Elizabeth.)
Liz: Alright, John -- it's been almost a month. When are you gonna stop trying to bringing that up in every single conversation?!
John: You gotta understand -- there's a lot of people in the Air Force who never thought I'd make it past Captain!
Liz: Well obviously the people whose opinions matter the most thought otherwise. (She sits back in her chair and raises her eyebrows at him.)
    (The Intruder)

    30. SHEPPARD (to Elizabeth): You say these things happen every twenty years, right?
WEIR: That's what they tell us.
SHEPPARD: How far in advance can we book days off?
    (The Eye)[/QUOTE]

    31. SHEPPARD: The coup was successful. Ladon Radim is the new leader of the Genii. (He sits on the edge of her desk.)
    WEIR: Wow, that was fast.
SHEPPARD: Well, once people found out Cowen and his elite guard were out of the picture, his loyalists laid down their weapons. They're billing it as a bloodless coup `cause no-one died on their home soil.
WEIR: So a nuclear explosion and the lives of an entire battalion of men don't count?
SHEPPARD: Yeah, it's all spin. What d'you think the fallout's gonna be?
WEIR: Well, historically, most coups end up with the new government being about as bad as the old one.
SHEPPARD: I don't know. He seemed pretty grateful we saved his sister.
    WEIR: There's that.
SHEPPARD: He did save me and my team.
    WEIR: There's that too.
SHEPPARD: So I say we call it a win.
    WEIR: Who's spinning now?!
SHEPPARD: Alright. Then I say we call it a night.
    WEIR: That we can do!
    (Coup d'etat)

Btw, Robert Picardo (dude playing Woolsey) is going to be @ Fedcon this weekend... Does anyone have any questions for me to ask him? It's an open mic, so if I'm lucky, I will be able to ask it... I was thinking about some sparky question (obviously), but I'm not sure what...

We are really loyal fans to watch the season 4 and 5 despite their qualities.lol

oh you are lucky. I really love Robert Picardo. He's a good actor. I love him in the season 5. One of the best scene is sheppard and him on the balcony smoking cigars. Oh and he was great in GITM too. Will you see other actors?

I'm really not that much of a Woolsey fan to be honest... In most of my stories he's a bad leader who ticks off everyone in Atlantis
When I first heard Woolsey was taking command of Atlantis I was like: "What?!? The dude is afraid of his own shadow! When he was questioned by the Asurans he cracked after 5 seconds and he's supposed to go leading the expedition??? Where will he be when the Wraith attack? Hiding under his desk?!?"
So, yeah, I really didn't have a positive view of him as the leader
It did sorta change more positive as I saw more of s5, but he was never able to fill the gaping empty hole Elizabeth left...

Yeah, I'm going to see a lot of actors this weekend, but only two SG-actors. You can find the complete list HERE.

We agree. Weir is the best leader. He can never replace her. Nobody can.
But he was interesting in this season. He brings something.
I know that most of you don't like Woolsey but we are friends right? You do not hate me huh?lol

Of course I/we don't hate you... we're all a bunch of cuddly lovers really
And the world would be kind of boring if everyone liked the same thing
Let's just agree to disagree on the Woolsey topic

Actually I think most people like Woolsey, or at least don't dislike him. I think for many Elizabeth fans he just came in as a second replacement for Weir, and that reminded them she was no longer there. I only saw GITM, and I liked him in it well enough. But for me Season 5 is a big reminder of my disappointment in TPTB and their decision to write out Elizabeth, so I have no desire to see any of the other episodes. It really has nothing to do with Woolsey, or Keller or any of the rest.

woolsey is a pompous arrogoant SOB. even as the leader of atlantis he's still arrogant. i mean he never gave john a real answer. "We'll see" for him he doesn't care at all about elizabeth at all.

                    (The Eye)

                    32. WEIR: Hey, what are you guys doing?
SHEPPARD: I'm teaching Teyla how football is the cornerstone of Western civilization.
WEIR: And you didn't invite me?
                    SHEPPARD: You like football?
                    WEIR: No not really.

                    (Hide and Seek)

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon. Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

Part 2 of my second untitled fic:
Enjoy and please review. Remember, this is still not beta'd.

                      Spoiler:
“Don’t forget the lasagna!” She called towards the kitchen the next Sunday.
“Not forgetting the lasagna!” He hollered back while he was diving in and out of the fridge. Today the Weir family was gathering at her mother’s house and they were assigned to bring the lasagna and juice.
“I hope your mom will like my lasagna.” He said when he heard her entering the kitchen.
“Sweetie, don’t worry. Your lasagna is amazing.”
“Maybe this will finally warm her up to me.”
                      “My mother likes you.”
He raised his eyebrow in unbelief.
“She probably just doesn’t like the way I brought you into her life. She likes things done the old way. We need to date for years on end, then we need to be engaged for a few more years and only then we’re supposed to marry.”
                      “In her perfect little world.”
                      “Yes.”
“I like our way better.” He grinned cheekily. “And besides, if she still doesn’t like me after I give her a grandson, nothing will make her like me.”
                      “Granddaughter maybe?”
He closed the fridge and put the last lasagna-filled box on the counter.
“Technically we have no child yet and already you’re talking about a second one?” He couldn’t hide his playful smirk.
“Maybe.” She shrugged and started putting the boxes in the bags.
He advanced closer to her. “Maybe?”
Laughing, she turned towards him. “Yes, maybe.”
He wrapped his arms around her. “Like how you were ‘maybe’ thinking about one child?”
                      She grinned cheekily. “Maybe.”

                      Nine months before
They lay wrapped around each other on the couch, simply enjoying each other’s closeness.
“I’ve been thinking.” He suddenly said out of the blue.
“Did it hurt?” She retorted without missing a beat.
                      “Funny.”
                      “I have my moments.”
“Right.” He gave her a half-hearted glare.
                      “So, you’ve been thinking.”
                      “Yes.”
                      “About?”
                      “Kids.”
The answer was simple, but her mind reeled for a moment. She had always known he wanted a family someday, not just a wife, but kids too. If she was honest with herself, she had to admit she wanted kids too, she didn’t used too, but she had since she had started thinking about a future with him. But wasn’t it too soon? They had only been married for three months after all.
“Elizabeth?” John asked with a tone of worry in his voice. She had been eerie quiet after his statement and her eyes looked like she was in a completely different place.
                      “I… I…”
“Look,” He said quickly. “I know you probably think this is too soon or something. But I’m pretty damn sure about this marriage, about us, and I know you are too and I know we can do kids. I just know we can and we’re not getting any younger either. So I think it’s about time we started thinking about kids… if you want to.”
She locked her eyes with his. Uncertainty gripped her, but his presence and the love that clearly shone in his eyes grounded her and made her feel like she could do this. But still…
                      “Maybe…”
“Maybe?” He asked with a little grin.
A smile slowly appeared on her face. “Yes, maybe.”
He cupped her head between his hands and kissed her.
                      “I love you.”
“Love you too.” She whispered in return.
“If you’re ready, just stop taking the pill and surprise me.”
                      She nodded. “I will.”
And four months later she did.

                      Present
“Then maybe we should start working on kiddo numero duo.” He easily lifted her on one of the counters and began kissing her, trailing his lips from her mouth to the curve of her neck and making his intensions perfectly clear.
“John!” She giggled and tried swatting him away. “First: you do know that it’s biologically impossible to impregnate me again while I’m still pregnant with kiddo numero uno, right? And second: my mom is going to kill you if we’re late. Oh and third: I’m not a babyfactory so I want at least two years between uno and duo.”
He gave her a little pout. “I still have to endure your mother’s hate for over two years?”
She rolled her eyes. “She doesn’t hate you.”
                      “No, she just dislikes me.”
                      “Which is better than hating.”
Now he rolled his eyes and gently lowered her off the counter. “Well, we’d better get going then before she really starts hating me instead of just disliking me.”
                      “My brother likes you.”
“At least he has better taste than your mom.”

One year and five months before
John was nervous. He had a feeling his heart was shrinking in his chest and he breathed shallowly, feeling like it was impossible to take deeper breaths.
“Relax.” She whispered as she took his hand in one hand and rang the bell with the other.
He had never done the ‘meet my mom’ bit before. Nancy’s parents weren’t alive anymore when they got together and all his relationships after that had never been serious enough to warrant a visit to the parents. But now that he was engaged to the amazing woman standing next to him, holding his hand comfortingly, he knew he had to meet her mother and the rest of the family. Including her brother… and he really wasn’t looking forward to that…
“You do know that now we’re engaged, you’re going to have to do this every other Sunday. The Weir family dinner is a must.”
“I’m not that good with family dinners.” He admitted and he really wasn’t, she knew it too. She knew he had lost his parents when he was only 10 and he and his little brother were split up to travel from foster family to foster family, never really finding a family until he had enrolled in the Air Force.
She couldn’t reply as at that moment the front door was opened and her mother was eyeing them curiously.
“Elizabeth?” She questioned as her eyes fell on John.
“Mom, I’d like you to meet John Sheppard. John, I’d like you to meet my mother, Jessica Weir.”
“It’s nice to finally meet you.” John said as he shook her hand. “I’ve heard so much about you.”
“Wish I could say the same.” She said, throwing Elizabeth a look.
                      “Mom.” She hissed.
John let out an inaudible sigh. Great start... Not.

“You’re engaged?” Her mother squeaked when Elizabeth finally dropped the bomb.
“Yes, mother. And the marriage will happen in about five months, when we can get all of our friends in town.”
“Five months? Child, what were you thinking?”
“I’m thinking that I love John and want to spend the rest of my life with him.”
                      “You barely know him!”
“We’ve known each other for over four years. We know each other perfectly well, thank you very much.”
“Then how come I never met him before, how come you never mentioned him before?”
Because he was in another galaxy! Elizabeth let out a sigh. “Because he was working with me in the top-secret base. You know I’m not allowed to talk about that, mom.”
                      “He was working with you?”
“Yes, he was my right hand.”
                      “Why isn’t he there anymore?”
“He quit his job to be with me.”
Jessica harumf’d at that. “And what was your job?” She asked as she turned to John.
“I was an Air Force pilot and…”
“Oh dear Lord!! You’re marrying a flyboy?!?”
                      “Mother!!”
John buried his head in his hands. This was hopeless.
So far Elizabeth’s older brother had stayed out of the discussion, simply watching his mother freaking out and his sister slowly losing her patience. Unlike his mother, he could see Elizabeth and John loved each other deeply, but he needed to know for sure. He got up from his seat and put his hand on John’s shoulder.
“You mind joining me for a minute?”
The flash of utter terror that crossed over John’s eyes nearly made him laugh.
“Marc?” Elizabeth questioned, worrying about John’s safety.
“Don’t worry, Liz. No bodily harm will come to him. I only want to talk.”
“Even words have known to get people killed.” John mumbled before getting up.
Marc was taken back for a moment. His sister had said the exact same words years ago before her first mission as a leading diplomat.
He guided John outside to the porch. The young summer sun was trying desperately to ban the cold, but there was still a chilly wind and John shivered for a second.
“The outside is the perfect place to kill someone.”
Marc gave him a small smile. “I’m honestly not planning on killing you, John. I just want to make sure I’m leaving my little sister in good hands.”
“You are.” John said without a single doubt and with so much conviction Marc knew he couldn’t be faking it. “I can’t promise I’ll never make a mistake or never screw up. But I will try everything in my power to never hurt her and to keep her safe.”
                      “You love her.” Marc stated.
“More than anything in and beyond this world. I want to spend the rest of my life with her if only because it just feels so damn right to wake up next to her every morning.”
Marc nodded. “What if it doesn’t work out?”
“I can’t imagine that ever happening, but you have to stay realistic, right? I can’t see myself to ever stop loving her, but if for some reason she doesn’t love me anymore then I will let her go, because her happiness is most important to me. Even if that means I’m not the one by her side.”
                      “What about kids?”
“I’d like to have kids one day, but I know Elizabeth’s career is important to her so the final decision is up to her. I will never force her into anything. Not even kids.”
Marc smiled and shook John’s hand. “Welcome into the family, John.”
John laughed and pulled Marc into a brief hug. “You have no idea how much that means to me.”
“You just have to live with my mother’s grumpiness. She was a huge fan of Simon and she thought he was perfect for Liz. I don’t think she’ll ever deem you worthy enough for her.”
“I don’t deem myself worthy enough for her.” John admitted.
“But you are.” Marc said. “You truly love each other and that’s all that matters.”

A few hours later they left the house but her mother had still not warmed up to him and he had the unsettling feeling that she never would.
“There is one thing you can be certain about though.” She said as they got into the car.
“What?” He asked, sounding a little bit defeated.
“Marc is almost a carbon-copy of dad… inside and outside. So if Marc likes you, you can be pretty sure my dad would have liked you too.”
It meant more to him than she could ever imagine.

                      Sig by me

KR Have I ever mentioned how utter squee you write?

                        Well done my girl!!!!

                          “Yes.”
                          “About?”

Lasagna! Yum. Darnit, now I'm hungry!

This was just awesome. Especially Lizzie's brother... that last little bit that Lizzie told John about him... Awwwww! *melts into a puddle of happy goo*

Oh, this is great Kris! *happy dance* Love the bit with his wonderfully messy hair in the first part, and love him meeting her family. I agree with SK, Liz's comment at the end about her brother was just so sweet and melting inducing. Brava!

Like I said before, the few articles in France that talk about sga refer to sparky and not other ship.

Wow, now I really want to get my hands on some French magazines and read all this wonderful Sparky hinting.

                                Spoiler:

                                (The Eye)

                                33. CALDWELL: You two are pretty close, aren't you?
[Weir stops and turns back around, arms crossed.]
WEIR: Well, we've been through a lot together. Yes.
