    well i'm not a good writer myself. I haven't been able to get down my John Sheppard or my jack o'neill.

              I was here but don't remember exactly. Something about a discussion of what Elizabeth could keep in the jar and mints seemed like a possibility. Several non-PG things came up but we won't mention those.

              Yes, I did get upset by what I read. But it wasn't so much the fact that they disagreed with it (I do completely understand and respect that they're entitled to their own viewpoints, I do!) but rather by the fact that it shook me personally. The only reason I brought it up here at all (even though I shouldn't have) is because I was looking for a Sparky pick-me-up, a reaffirmation if you will of the awesomeness of this ship. That was all. I admit I probably chose my words poorly and it seemed like I was trying to stir up more than that. That was entirely my own fault and I'm sorry for it. But now every time I think about the whole situation or it's mentioned I want to run and hide in a hole somewhere and not come out again. Maybe this post is a bit overdone and unnecessary, but this is what I feel like I needed to do to be able to fully enjoy myself again.
              There. *lets out a deep breath* I've spoken my peace and can forget it now. I promise I won't bring it up again. (I am also sorry if this post goes against the PM only discussion orders for this topic, so if there are any mods around, please let this post stay!)

              I am just tired of feeling like we are being watched more closely than others and the rules apply more strictly to us. But that has always been true and I've been here since nearly day one.

              I just plan to take my own advice and stay strictly in this thread and a few others that are friendly.

                      GitM seemed to be the one episode that brought in the most new fans. Sad because it was the last Sparky ep, but better late than never. It's amusing that so many non-shippers saw the deep feelings John had for her at the end but not earlier. Thanks for nothing, writers. LOL

                      But I think our ending was not as disappointing as it might have been. We could have been faced with her having to watch John end up with someone else. There was talk of bringing the ex-wife back and that would have been very upsetting to say the least.
                      So, really, we got our canon ship. John is alone for the foreseeable future. And there's always the possibility of a rescue in a future movie. And all that matters about this ship is what we think.
