I love it. Not that it needed anything, but that's the perfect touch. And I never thought about how everyone who came into her office saw the pot and must have wondered where she got it. Instead of putting it in the back along with all the other artifacts she had, she always kept it on her desk so he would have to move it to sit his cute little butt down. *happy sigh*

Oh, so very true... muses and bunnies can annoy you to no end... popping up at the worst times possible.
Work just slowed down a bit and I managed to write a bit... I hope to be able to post another small part later... Keep your fingers crossed

I love this couple. Their emocional and lovely relationship is so amazing. Everytime I hope they will be together.
Absolutely prefer ship John/Elizabeth than ship John/Teyla. I don´t think he had with Teyla some special chemistry as with Elizabeth.
From their first met in Rising till their last moments in Lifeline or Ghost in the Machine. Their scenes are best for me. I love them together as Sam/Jack...

Speaking of which, does anybody remember one where John and Elizabeth were put in a tent or hut or something together and couldn't come out until they had sex? There was some sort of smoke signal or something that went up. Aaarrrgghh! So long ago I don't remember any more.

We all love the chemistry that jumps off the screen when they're on screen together.
Personally I don't get people who see Sheyla chemistry instead of John/Liz chemistry (but we're not allowed to talk about that, because then the Sheyla people will tell the mods and we'll get the naughty finger)

Let me start. I was a big fan of SGA and I become a big fan of Sparky because of you (or “thanks to” as you wish LOL). I always saw an amazing chemistry between Weir and Sheppard. I wasn’t a “shipper” at the beginning of SGA but now I think I have the “Sparky disease”. Maybe it’s for that that I want to join the “Sparky family”…. If you want me. One of the things Elizabeth was certain about was John’s need to be useful. Doing things that had certain purpose, turning chaos into order brought him a strong sense of comfort. He was methodical in his tasks, almost to the point of being repetitive sometimes, but patterns and structures seemed to give him comfort. It wasn’t something one could notice at the very first sight, you'd have to know him well to see it. Only on the surface he seemed sloppy. Elizabeth contemplated on it as she sat on her bed, their bed by all accounts - these quarters weren’t solely hers any more, not if various manly belongings were anything to go by, but the small space they shared was tidy. John's world was functional, practical and safe. She learned to rely on that.

Elizabeth placed a gentle palm on her flat stomach, accepting the fact that John made her feel safe. He went to Carson, to ask for a pregnancy test after Elizabeth’s stomach calmed down a bit. There was a weak protest in the back of her mind, about her being the one who should have done it, but it felt good not to be the one in charge for a moment. It was good to know and feel she wasn't the sole entity in the matter any more. Elizabeth had noticed a definite spark of panic deep in John’s eyes, although he was sweet and brave for her, she could almost hear the wheels in his head desperately turning. He needed a task to do, in order to keep his sense of control, at least, and thus she let him go to Carson, even if that left her with nothing better to do, but wait.

He was back almost too soon, eyes scanning her from top to toe, as if he was looking for some kind of treacherous giveaway sign. Elizabeth got up slowly and John handed her a small box.

“Carson…. um, he told me to get you down to infirmary if the test turns out positive,” he swallowed thickly and licked his lips. Elizabeth gave him a surprising look,

“Me? As me, in particular?”

“You, as Elizabeth,” confirmed John, and they just looked at each other, both in lack of words. She had already prepared a small plastic cup she usually used to water her flowers.

“There goes the ‘let’s keep this quiet’ idea,” said Elizabeth. John was hovering behind her as she was fumbling endlessly with the box and then the wrapping of the test, until he opened it for her.

“Well, if you’re really…., I mean…. It's going to become quite obvious,” he tried a joke, and at any other time, it might have even sound funny. Elizabeth looked up from the usage instructions in her hand.
