        As for Teyla, you're probably right. I remember MW saying in a commentary (I think it was the s10 opening with AT) that they really only had to keep it uniform from the end of the season to the start eg AT had grown her hair long over the hiatus, but had to cut it short again to match her last appearance. The same applied to TH in s3, although i think they clipped it up or something?
        Abomination is right! They totally should've let him keep his hair cut; hell, TPTW had even written an alternate scene for Broken Ties to explain it, so they were ready to go for it.

                      Heh. Did something I don't normally do and rewatched an old ep (3 is my limit - after that I pretty much know it by heart so its pointless).

                      On First Strike:

                      It struck me as a poor way to make a rift between civilian and military. After all, Weir was actually right. The plan didn't work, and it made the replicators attack them. Her plan wasn't 'don't attack', it was 'stall, then attack'. And she toed the company line even though she didn't agree with it.

                      The scenes between Weir and Ellis were not that dramatic. The 20-rounds exchange was something you'd see in a bad soap opera. And when he came in at the end and said he respected her, it seemed a bit false considering what he'd said to John just prior to that.

                      I think the arguements might have had more gravity had it been Carter instead of Ellis, but that might have been a bit bold for TPTB. It would however have made an easy introduction for Carter to take command in s4 - her Apollo gets destroyed in Adrift or Lifeline, and she stays on Atlantis as the highest ranking officer (which is still in space coz the engines are broken, so no contact with Earth).

                      I actually really liked Rodney in this ep. When push came to shove, he went back to his core beliefs. Science is better than guns, and loyalty is worth its weight in gold. This seems more like the Rodney in Rising.

                      John, well, where were you? Oh, you'd already moved into s4

                      And I know it was only because it was in the script, but considering Weir was the one who ordered the shield lowered, why would she go to the window while the shield was still inactive?

                              Okay, looking at the calendar, I see that today is Sparky!Family! Day. Assuming this means stuff that has to do with their kids, I offer this, a fic I wrote as a Christmas present for a friend of mine. It was inspired by the absolutely hilarious vid of Joe F. at a convention in Burbank talking about his hair. Hope you guys like, and opinions/reviews please.
