I did watch the episode and it was great one character(Teyla) did mention Dr. Weir from something that was said in Ghost in the Machine. It was great that Elizabeth is not forgotten. Also the look John gave Teyla spoke volumes after made the comment.

I watched the episode and that was just a great moment.

Why did Teyla call her Dr. Weir? WTF. I guess they are not BFF's anymore. Oh tptb are so ADD when it comes to this relationship.

No, its just that he had to hand his earlier stuff in to big daddy BW in classic SGA, now he's a big boy & can do it all by himself. Although it amuses me now that some of the sparky stuff (which wasn't meant to be ship) is now being used again for another one (except now people are saying it is).

I honesty don't know why people are saying that it's ship SINCE SHE HAS A KID WITH KANAN. That is horrible characterization for Teyla and John. It probably was nothing. But yes if it is supposed to be seen as ship I also find it amusing because then sparky was also ship and so was the hug.

I can't comment at all about these episodes--even Daniel can't pull me back into SGA watching, and he used to be the only reason I watched SG-1.

Gero strikes me as never having liked walking into the Weir/Sheppard relationship. Maybe he's a little bitter because he's written so many moments that have ended up being seen as particularly shippy. I think a lot of what he did was glossed up by JF & TH and maybe some of the directors. What's frustrating is that if he'd just let go and accepted it rather than fight it all the time, he could have written some amazing stuff (on the character end, Pajus). Now he's having to go back and rehash ideas?

I love Teyla, but it sounds to me that Gero is writing the same old stuff, but with Teyla playing the part of Elizabeth. I feel sorry for the writers, that they can't be more original with the final season other than with the newer characters.

I think that they are writing Teyla as whoever they need for whatever episode. If she needs to be Elizabeth, she will be, if she needs to be Lorne she will be. I've heard that everything she did could have been done by Lorne. It's kind of sad. I honestly do think that they are giving Teyla and John, the John and Elizabeth scenes that they used to have because well they don't have Elizabeth anymore and they need to use Teyla somewhat.

I keep hearing that people are saying there was Sheyla in FC. Who is saying that besides the shippers? *runs off to read episode thread*

There were many times in S1-4 that non-shippers saw Sparky moments. TPTW have always made it sorta clear that they favor Sheyla yet their puny efforts fail to convince and JM also said on several occasions that there would be no Sheyla in S5. Now either Gero didn't get the memo or he's trying to sneak it in or both. But as I said before the fact that she has a family makes it beyond disgusting. This is not Dirty Sexy Money or Sexy Dirty Money or whatever the hell that show is.

I just saw two people in the episode thread say it and they compared it to sparky in The Siege II so I just went WTF and then laughed. Cause recycled much and second best much.

I'm just curious whether I did justice to a darker Sheppard. I just read it again, and I don't think I took it far enough to show it but I tried. *shrug* Elizabeth is mentioned in passing btw.
