Originally posted by Anuna View PostHopefully wishful thinking is allowed here, so I'll say that saving Elizabeth would be only true redeeming for John. It would be beautiful if he was given that kind of chance.(This is legal notice that any attempt to censor or delete, for the purpose of oppressing fair and open discussion, any statement made by me will be considered a violation of my right to free speech as guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, and will be dealt with in accordance with federal law.)
Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon. Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

As did I. This and her previous comment in the interview on the "A Necessary Evil" CD leads me to suspect that the so-called "storyline" that Darth Mallozzi claimed was being developed for her was nothing more than another con job that would jerk the fans around for another year without ever really going anywhere. Which makes me wonder just what Carl Binder may have had to put in the script at the "request" of others on the staff.
Thank goodness for fanfiction, where we can make that happen.
Exactly. About the fanfiction - that monster story I'm writing is about John getting the chance to redeem himself, and I think I will finish it this very week. I also think it will be at least 50 000 words long.I'm not weird, I'm limited edition.

You cannot have anything but respect for Torri. She has singlehandedly made it her business to make sure that Elizabeth's character stays intact. She could have given in and went along with what was presented but she made the choice to stay true. In an industry where jobs are hard to come by, you have to take your hat off to a woman with such integrity. Torri is the only one that understands how the fans feel about Elizabeth. What a great person she is.

As to Torri being the only one who understands how the fans feel about Elizabeth... To quote Yoda in Empire Strikes Back: "No. There is another."Spoiler:Joe Flanigan. And how fitting it is that the two actors who have demonstrated time and again that they know their characters better than the writers, who both have the greatest rapport with the fans, are the actors who play the two characters we most want to see together.
Sparky Forever.(This is legal notice that any attempt to censor or delete, for the purpose of oppressing fair and open discussion, any statement made by me will be considered a violation of my right to free speech as guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, and will be dealt with in accordance with federal law.)

Spoiler:What Joe did and said on several cons was wonderful - when TPTB didn't have any sympathy for Elizabeth fans, Joe did, and that is such a great thing because of all people, there's nobody better to respect the character of Elizabeth and the woman who plays her than the man who plays John Sheppard. And since sparky is about deep human respect and loyalty... I guess we can say at least someone did sparky justice.
