GitM is supposed to answer the question of what the heck was going on at the end of BAMSR, and presumably will give closure to Elizabeth's storyline, but I think it's going to be an open window within a closed door. Allowing her to ascend would do that, and it ties in very neatly with previous connections between Elizabeth and the Ancients/ascension (in BIS, Epiphany (she was the one doing all the translation work to figure out what the Sanctuary was for and getting all giddy about it), Progeny (Niam pleading with her to help his faction), Tao of Rodney).

Binder can be a very subtle writer when he wants to be, and I wouldn't put it past him to sneak that in.

I have a sneaking suspicion that's the case as well. It doesn't really make sense for

Fran-as-Liz to do anything other than ascend. I hope that's the case, anyway. No one has ascended in SGA, it's about time.
