What the audience doesn't know, is that the parents were 20 minutes late because they had a closet appointment. How do I know that? Because as SR once pointed out: John adjusted his pants....And we know once upon a time how TH promised fans at a Con that she would adjust her clothes when she and JF exit a teleporter. And since we haven't seen a scene like that, we had JF make up for it.

I read, it wasn't shippy enough for me, but I still loved it.

I think I would like to have seen something along the lines of this in the episode opener of TMC

Like an off screen narration by Weir/TH. Kinda sorta like razor. It just gives a sad-ish angsty precursor to the episode. THAT on top of footage of JS. No dialogue, but some sorta angst cause Shep secretly stole her watch from her belongings box , and he is emoting like crazy on the balcony holding that watch.

They can end the episode in the same way, but the camera focussed on her face. Feature her, her face asleep in the wreckage. Then go on as what was shown on screen. I'd write a fic...but I'm afraid I won't finish it. Heck..let me try a ficlet blurb.
