I just read from one of my groups of someone that posted what happen on the ep...

Rodney is going to go to Scotland to tell Carsons mom and then On the Final scene: Rodney and Carson are out on one of the big piers on Atlantis.
Carson asks Rodney, "How'd it go back on earth?"
Short discussion between Rodney and Carson ensues -- Rodney admits
Carson was the best friend he ever had. Carson absolves Rodney of not
going fishing with him and tells Rodney to take care of himself. Then
Carson fades away.

Now my greatest fear has finally come true...!

Not that it hit me totally out of the blue, all of us had literally months 'to get used to it'. It still had me on my knees crying, shaking in despair at the loss.

How could they ever do that?! How in hell could they ever dare do that to us?! I've only read minor spoilers so far, just to be sure that *it* did really happen and I won't see the ep in a long while, but the way he was treated by the others made this horrible event even more terrible. No matter how much they regret it, they still failed him as friends in a way.

And don't even get me started about the producers and writers... You can insert any well aimed and ill willed rant at this point!

But now on topic: our wake
