Carson Beckett/Paul McGillion Thunk Thread

Hey come on, I'm the one who wants to 'dip Carson in choc and lick him clean!!' (though I always refer to the character!! ).

Oh my gosh, who could forget the chocolate Carson pops?!?! Not me!!!! Thanks for the reminder though!

Something I also noticed, theres 4 of Carson and 12 of Shep. I know Joe is the lead but come on! Scifi are B$@%&*ds, they dont use Carson in promos, print ads, and he gets all of 1 scene in the specials which is annoying and frustrating to say the least!

Well, given that on that same site the Poisoning the Well episode photos have only ONE of just Carson and it is the worst shot I have seen of him (which means it is still adorable but not as drool-worthy as most) then I think we can safely say that the site is 1) run by Shep fans and 2) not aware of the attractions that a real man like Carson (and Paul!) holds for women with taste!!!


Back to lurkerdom again... I think... and darn TJ for getting me out of lurkerdom, I haven't accomplished ANYTHING at work yet today!! ...but at least I've had fun!

Can't wait to see the pics you'll be putting up, and HOORAY! for Carson getting more screen time and character development. Now if only Australia hurries up and catch up with the rest of the world regarding SGA, I'll be a happy camper!

Hmm, I wouldn't hold my breath on Channel 7 catching up with SGA anytime soon. They have not even announced that they will buy the rights to screen SG-1 season 9 yet never mind SGA season two. But we get the double SGA 'The S1 & S2' next week (the Gift this week) so yea! Double the *Thunk* I will be vv tired for work on Friday but I don't care. Then I will finally watch S3 so I will be caught up at last!

I've just been reading the posts.

I think Carson is the most adorable person on Atlantis. I think he's the most realisitc as well. These are the main reasons I like him loads. Ok, I admit that he is cute as well He's my fave character. I also think that PM is a great actor.

I just hope I don't make meself look like a prat in november. Maybe I should start with a cold shower.

I'd never ask personal questions. I'd be too embarassed. I like asking questions about hobbies, fave food, and things like that. But even I have my limit.

I just love the new promo pics of Carson! I don't mind that there aren't so many of them, I'm glad about the ones we got (I just thought it was strange that Teyla has even less pics). OK, there are more Shepp pics, but basically they're always the same, just some slightly different poses, so it doesn't matter that much to me as long as there ARE some Carson pics. There is only so much I can look at and thunk over.
And he looks so great! Just yummy-lovely!

TJuk and jannagalaxy, I can't tell you how jealous I am that you get to see PM in November! But I really hope you'll have a good time and enjoy your meeting with him! Maybe you can say hello to him from his fans on his GW thunk thread and tell him how many (crazy) fangirls he has!

OMG!
Did anyone of already see the new official SG magazine? I just read about it on the net and it has a page called "One day in the life of Paul McGillion"!!!
It's so funny to read about his day! And most important: It looks as if both DH and PM get some great scenes and a lot to do in "The Hive"!
"Lilas" transcribed the whole thing and posted it on her LJ. I hope it's alright if I post the link and some excerpts here.

I love the parts where he talks about himself and DH on the set! Seems as if they have a lot of fun! Here is one example:
"Just myself and David Hewlett (McKay) – always a treat, especially if he’s had his morning coffee."
And another:
"...and some sweet dreams about suffocating Hewlett with a pillow… "

And it looks like he's very open when it comes to looking for women! He talks about meeting a French journalist and says:
"We manage to get through the language barriers, and have a great little chat. Maybe he has a sister? That would be good!"

As to getting to see PM in November, I am incredibly jealous... especially as TJ has had MORE than one chance to meet him at a con and I have had none. Zip. Zero. Nada.

And, since the good cons always seem to bypass New England, I am unlikely to ever get a chance...

So, I shall have to continue worshipping from afar & hoping that Sciffy doesn't forget to give him the screen time he deserves!

So, our campaign to make Paul a regular on the show was so successful that I think we should campaign to make him a REGULAR regular... as in, "WE WANT MORE CARSON!!!!".

Going to the Gym at what? 5.00am! What?! Then a COLD shower! NO! I am still very much asleep at that time of the morning, but I guess with time differences I am actually awake, weird.
