Continuing with my DragonCon report.

I missed today's talk session with Paul because I was running a little errand that ran long. My friend who attended the session said that it was a standing room only crowd and they had to shut the doors to prevent the room from being overcrowded.

She didn't give me much detail on what happened, but she did say that the crowd responded well to Paul.

Back at the autograph table, Paul, like some other guests, continued to ask for a donation for the Red Cross if you wanted a posed photo with him. At the end of 2 days he had raised over $1,200!

The convention has the autograph area in the back ot the dealer's room. It was quite warm on Friday and even warmer on Saturday. At one point Paul commented on the temperature. I jokingly pulled out a cardboard evelope I use to carry my photos and started fanning Paul with it. He didn't object to the breeze.

Chris Owens, Agent Spender on the X Files, came over wanting to take a photo with Paul. I was recruited to take the photo and Paul and Chris started goofing around. After taking Chris' photo, I asked if I could take a photo for myself. They agreed and started with the silly poses again. I took my picture and asked if it could be posted here. Both Paul and Chris examined the camera display and said it was ok.



Chris was the X File person hanging out with Paul and Connor Friday night, not Dean Haglund. I corrected my original post.

Late Saturday night I saw Paul walking with Jewel Staite (with their ever present convention escorts) thru the hotel taking in the convention atmosphere. Jewel is here for Firefly, but she was also the Wraith girl Ellia in the episode "Instinct."

I got a chance to buy Paul a beer when I spotted him in the bar about a half hour later having a slice a pizza with a group of people. But by the time I got back with the beer, he was on his way out. I noticed he had a beer alrready in his hand and he said everybody was buying him drinks. So I just topped off the one he had and wished him good night.

I am so going to listen to both his talks tomorr... uh, later today.

I'm with you Imo in grumbling about not being able to go to the BOBW con *grumble...grumble* damn car, why did you have to break down and cost me a fortune!! I so want to go!!! *muahaha* I wonder which hotel he'll be staying at here in Sydney. Maybe I can stake it out for just a glimpse of Paul Oh, who I am I kidding, I think I'd would most likely *sigh..swoon..faint..Thunk!* and hit the gutter if I saw him! No Dominic. But Kevin Sorbo (Hercules, Andromeda) and Steve Bacic (SG1, Andromeda) are here.

Totally off topic. I asked Kevin and Steve if I could get a photo with both them together. They agreed. Steve stood up as we waited for Kevin to finish taking a photo with someone else. I commented to the person next to me that both Steve and Kevin are so tall! I stretched my arm above my head to indicate that I could barely reach the top of their heads. Kevin turned around and saw my arm up in the air. And then he says, "I'm going to lift you up!" and proceeded to do so! Steve then said, "Elbow, elbow!" and I held my elbow out so he could hold me up on the other side. And that's my photo with the two of them!

Anyway fellow thunkers, I may be disappearing for long periods of time (and will be getting bouts of serious "withdrawal Thunking symptoms) because Reality calls and I must start my new job which will hinder and hamper on my GW and Thunking "playtime"

But I will be thinking of all of you *with jealousy * while you are here savouring, lapping up, thunking at pics of PM/CB while I'm stuck at work dealing with Internet customers whose ISP have major problems and can't get into GW!!

So see you as soon as I can, and I'll miss you all, especially the PM/CB pics!!

Yes once again thank you watcher652 you have made a little Aussie gal very happy with your posts.

TJ no it is not November yet! I can't wait until it's November either I may not be able to go the BOBW Con here in November (no still can't see a way ) but I am sure there will be lots of pics and info on the Australian Stargate sites so lots of yummy Paul (& David & David!) goodness.
