*right then, two guards, the same two who had been guarding him in the cell when I had brought Poet in for that snack, come into the infirmary and drag the unconscious Wraith out, no one had noticed aCarson's hand go to his earpiece and tap out the warning signal to bring them in*

A- 'M Sorry 'e turned out t' be a rogue, Lass. Shall we go an' speak t' Elizabeth now? *he smiles gently, he knows she's probably still angry with the Wraith...*

*hugs him crying silently, then nods* yes....Carson why does it hurt still that I did this to him though I know he deserved it?

*Gabriel disappears again*

*he hugs her back, then use one hand to lift her face gently so she looks at him and brushes away the tears with his thumb*

A- B'cause, Lass, even if 'e tried t' hurt Joey...'e is a Wraith an' that makes 'im one o' your brothers. It 'urts when ye 'ave ta do that t' a brother, even if 'e deserves it. Come, Lass, let's go talk t' Lizabeth...take ye mind off o' what just happened for a wee while.

*he hugs her again gently and turns to lead the way to Elizabeth's office*

*walks after aCarson slowly realizing that having fought with the wraith did not make her health state better, walking along the wall to have something to lean on* you are probably right Carson *she blinks to get back a clear sight, then walks up strairs carefuly behind aCarson, just reaching the last one as her mind blacks out for one second making her lose balance and role down the strairs again, hearing her own bones crack as she roles and lands on the floor hitting her head hard, causing her to see stars for a moment, then there is just hot pricking pain*

*hearing her trip, A-Carson turns around just in time to see her hit the last step and stop moving, he runs back down the steps, landing by her side, he notices one leg is bent at an awkward angle, as is the other foot, and he knows that both are broken. He feels around his lab coat pockets and comes up with a pain killer syringe he'd been carrying there. It'll do, he thinks to himself*

A- Poet, Lass, stay wi' me. Your leg an' foot are broken, Lass. I know it 'urts. *he takes her hand for a moment before he hears another noise and looks up to see Elizabeth at the top of the stairs, her face clearly showing her shock*

aCarson! What happened!

A- 'M not quite certain, 'Lizabeth. If 'm right, she was still a wee bit weak, she must've lost 'er balance an' fallen. 'Er leg an' foot are broken. Can ye do me a favor an' call the infirm'ry, get one o' my nurses out 'ere wi' something t' splint 'er with so I c'n get 'er back?

Of course, aCarson! *she taps her earpiece and calls the infirmary, moments later a nurse runs in with the splints and aCarson injects the pain killer into Poet before moving her leg to put it in the splint. When the splints are on, he lifts her carefully, gently, cradling her in in his arms and carries her quickly to the infirmary with Elizabeth and the nurse following behind him*

A- *looks down at Poet* I've got ye, Lass. Jus' got t' set th' bones. But y'll 'ave to rest an' let people 'elp ye for a while. *he shakes his head as he lays her back on the infirmary bed that she has spent most of the last week on, then sets to work to properly set the bones and put casts on both the broken leg and the broken foot, working gently and carefully*

just pointing out that just because you are the same race doesn't mean you have to gather every other one of your kind into a loving embrace......some are just to bad to love or forgive.

*while Aang is off looking for flats I spy a lovely pair of heels, I grab them and try them on...but I'm not that silly that I try to stand in them....no these are for once my leg is healed. I'm sitting there holding my good leg out and twisting it from side to side looking at how good they look on my foot when Aang comes back*

-I'm buying these.....I have just the outfit at home. With these I'll be almost as tall as Shep. Well not so much almost, but taller than normal.

I know that, believe me I do. And I was just saying A-Carson was only trying to make Poet feel better because he sort of knows how she thinks. Doesn't mean he thinks that way or I do.
