*I cringe when I hear they took my Jumper, but I go to Poet, lifting her to her feet and supporting her weight*
I'm sorry, Dell will live...but she's in rough shape. *I turn so Poet can see Dell's still form in the bed* I've done my best, and you're too weak now to do any more for her. She'll be alright though.
*I say the words but I know my own heart is bleeding a bit, it even hurts me to see my sister like this, even if I know she'll be alright*
*then I look back to Shep*
You were shot in the back...that would make sense if there was a fourth gunman. *I have worked out how the formation must have looked, Dell was behind Shep, he went down after she did...*

*looks at him sadly* but...I was there...just would have to reach out my hand and heal everyone....
Joey: you had a bullet in your neck...you could have never managed to move and to heal just one of them without yourself dying, sister
So what! Rather I dead than any of my friends *black tears start streeaming down her face making her even weaker* I am useless and too weak if I can't save them
(sorry bed time, good night eveyone)

*I swipe Poet off her feet because she is weak, and I carry her to an empty bed beside Gabriel, setting her down and waving Joey over to keep an eye on her, make sure she doesn't do anything stupid*
*then I go back over to Shep, stopping to check on Dell along the way and breathing a sigh as the steady beeping of her heart monitors reminds me that she's alive*
Alright so we've established we're all alive. And that the gunmen did get away...and that there was a fourth. What now? *I sigh*

*I nod* I can do that. Be careful, it might hurt to bend you that way a bit. *I get to his bed and sit it up a bit so he can look around, to his left Dell is hooked up to the blood transfusion, IV of saline and pain killers and an oxygen tube in her nose as well as couple of monitors tracking her vitals. Her face is pale, making her red hair seem brighter somehow, but she seems to be sleeping peacefully, still kept under by the drugs*

*Now he can see Dells face, she is so pale it scares him. He closes his eyes for a moment, then looks at Major Lorne*
Ok, we have to find out who else was in the brig....Check with Chuck, and have Zelenka go over the security feeds. Also see if he can work out how to track that jumper. Tighten security around the gate, they may try to come back and use it. And I want everyone of those new marines checked and double checked. If there are any others who side with Kerr, I want them found now!
Bring me a laptop, and I can work on a way to track the jumper. What? I'm not allowed to help from my bed, But Shep is still in charge?

*I try to give Shep a smile, try to comfort him how I can, but I realize it would do more for him to know the others were doing their best to track down the men who did this to his Dell, so I spin around to Rodney*
Yes, Shep is still in charge. Except for in here, where the Carsons and I are. But even we know better than to try to tell Shep otherwise. I'll go get a laptop, pal. No more lazy time for you. If you do this for us, I'll make sure there's a triple helping of blue Jell-O for you.
*I disappear into A-Carson's office and return with a laptop, which I drop into Rodney's waiting hands and he sets to work, and then I take my place between the beds of my Sister and Shep*

You try, Shep. If it gets too hard for you, I can make you forget about all of this a while with one needle into that IV you're hooked up to...
*I turn to Dell's bed and as if to prove the monitors are right, I reach over and check her pulse with one hand*
She's alright, Shep. She just...lost a lot of blood... *I sigh* She had me scared for a while, I admit it. Really scared. But we're through the worst of it now...I'm keeping her knocked out for a bit to keep her from moving too much, but I can wake her when the time is right...I just don't want another scare.

*not taking his eyes off Dell's face*
She's scaring me right now, probably shouldn't have said that, doesn't sound very "brave Colonel in charge", I blame it on the drugs you have me on. If the best for her is to keep her sedated then I'm good with it, but please don't knock me out, I want to be awake when she wakes. I want her to know I'm right here with her. Maybe you have me on to many drugs, I sound soft!
