*I grin, my face goes pinker for a second and then I think to both of my sisters: Thanks, Sisters. That means a lot to me. A-Carson once told me that the reason I was made a doctor even without the education is because education on Earth doesn't teach you how to keep calm and heal alien illnesses and injuries. He said I was amazing, that it was amazing how I could just jump right in without freezing up when I saw something I didn't know. He said what I did...when I had to take care of all of us...it was something he'd never seen before, a nurse stepping up into a doctor's place, taking charge and saving the patients' lives without being asked to do so, and without being phased by the sudden change of position...he told me that he admired me for that. I don't know why I let Jennifer get to me so much...*

*I hear Aangs thought to me and nod, wasn't that pretty much what I just said?! I push myself up from the balconey I'm leaning against...I've been watching the sea, I find it very relaxing, but now it is time to go back and join life again. I flex my fist, it is a bit swollen and stiff, bloody Keller, I should have left her nose crooked! then I turn and start my jog back to my quarters.*

*Carson gives Sparky a look & pats his pocket, that tells her he has the sedative ready just in case*

*nods at Carson her thanks* *eyes flash as Falina comes to the fore*

Falina: Gilan, Nikola, I know you're outside. I can sense you!

*Gilan pokes his head in, obviously the one in control*

Gilan: I could never fool you Falina. *head bows*

Nikola: Pleased to meet you all. Sparky's told me all about you.

*I catch Dell's thought and laugh, thinking: Yes, yes it is what you just said, big Sis. I just can't help remembering how A-Carson told me...it was just after all of you had been released from the infirmary, I had come back down to clean up after us as usual and he found me putting away supplies after one of my fights with Keller. I wouldn't tell him who had said it to me, but I told him that someone had told me that I shouldn't have been allowed to care for all of you. He lifted me to sit on one of the beds, looked into my eyes and told me he was saying it both as my lover and as my boss...and then he told me that. Made me promise I would never give up on my work...that I would never let anyone tell me I didn't deserve to be working in the infirmary, saving lives. You know by now I haven't been able to put a stop to Keller on my own, but I haven't given up either.*

Nikola: S-, may I have a word with you?

S- What? Um... make it quick ok? *bites his lip to contain himself*

Nikola: I would prefer to do this in private, but here it is. I'm not here to get in on your territory. Sparky said that she wanted some time to get her thoughts and feelings in order. I'm going to give her that.

(Sorry if I'm sort of a little MIA, just listening to "Just a Dream" by Carrie Underwood, making a really sad sig set that will probably never be used ever. Don't ask, yes it has to do with "Sunday". I dunno why but the bunny just hit me for this sig and won't let go)
