well I suggest then, when we pick a beach, we pick one far from this place so no one will spot it from the air and claim it for themselves.

I think you're quite right, Sis. Oh...if you ever need to escape to this place, just find me and I'll make us some excuse to fly out here and hide from the world for a while. *I smile and rest one hand on the bent tree before I turn to go back to the Jumper* It's also a good place for writing...I used to bring a notepad when I came out here and I would write such wonderful stories.

Ok, I'll bear that in mind next time Shep and i have a falling out...what are you doing in about 4 hours?

[Aang]

You mean when he finds out we've been out flying all afternoon? *I shake my head and smile, my eyes sparkling a little* Tell you what, I think I can convince Liz we're only coming to make preparations for our beach BBQ if I need to. Now let's find us a beach, Sis. *I disappear back into the jumper and turn on the controls again, just in time to hear my radio squawking*

Jumper Three, are you still out there checking out the beaches? Vacation's over for the moment! We could use you in the air above the city, Wraith Darts incoming! *Chuck's voice echos through the clearing and I sigh, wishing Atlantis could go one day without sh*t hitting the fan on us*

*I punch the radios on with my mind* This is Jumper Three, we'll be in the air in a moment. Aang out! *I turn back to the door* Um Sis, better get going. We've got to lend them a hand with a few unexpected visitors above the city.

Right, lets go play darts then shell we...nope can't see me getting into trouble over this little enterprise!

[Aang]

Why yes, I think that's a good idea. As long as I don't get us shot out of the sky, I think we'll only get a slight scolding for this little stunt.

*we are both seated in the jumper by now* Hang on tight, we're going up quickly. *I think us into the air above the mainland faster than last time, this is no longer a casual day trip, we are part of the battle now*

*as we rise into the air, I call up the Heads-Up display so I can see where the darts are and turn us toward the city, where I see a dart coming straight at us, I send off a few drones before pulling the Jumper into a side roll out of the way of the dart and we watch the first dart crash to the ground on the first beach we'd noticed from the sky*

Well guess we're not using that beach, too much wreckage. *I smirk as I fly us closer to the city*

pity, it looked nice too.
*I do up the 4 point harness attached to the seat so I won't have to hold on so much*
Is there anything I can do?

[Aang]

*Another dart swoops past and I send three more drones chasing after it and then pull us face to face with another jumper and wave to Shep, who is piloting and gives me a confused look, then I take us away from his jumper and head for the position of the next dart*

Right now, I think Jumper Three is the only shielded jumper, that's why they called us back in. We're more bullet proof than the other Jumpers. You're my co-pilot, I steer and shoot but I need you to watch our shield levels and let me know if we take any damage so I can back off and keep us from crashing if we get hit. I have to get us back to the city safely by the end of this or I'll have to start bringing an Air Force pilot with us when we do this and we both know who that'll be.

right I'm on it. He didn't look to happy to see you as the pilot, kind of hope he didn't see me.

*radio crackles*
Aang did I just see Dell in there with you?

Ok, so he saw me, crap.

[Aang]

*I sigh and wish I'd snapped the radio off, but it's too late now. I consider lying for a moment but I know that he won't buy it*

Yes Shep, you did see Dell. We're planning a little "family vacation" to the mainland and had Jumper Three out looking for a nice beach, when Chuck put out the call for us to lend a hand. I get the feeling he meant for me to bring the Jumper back and get a proper pilot but there's no time. Watch your HUD would ya?

*I bring us around and fire a drone that knocks out a Dart I'd noticed on Shep's tail* You need to pay attention, got bigger things to worry about than who's piloting this Jumper. I promise, I'll make sure Dell gets back to the city safely. And I have yet to break that promise when I make it. *I spiral us away from Shep's jumper, knowing he will remember the first time I did that without warning him and it'll probably earn me a verbal lashing but right now I am trying to get to the other side of the city and take out a Dart that is trying to do a suicide run into the side of the control room*

Ok, we are taking some fire, shields are down by a third. Look out we got incoming on our right

[Aang]

Good thing I don't need to turn us around to make this happen. *I think several drones out to the right and then roll the jumper out of the way again, just barely escaping the blast as the dart explodes*

*as we round the city to the control room, I send two drones out to take out the dart that is about to hit*

*I glance at the HUD and can see there are only three more darts on the loose* Okay we're almost through the hard part...

we make a good team, um which jumper is that over there, looks like it is about to get slammed!

[Aang]

Sheppard, I THOUGHT I told you to watch your HUD! *I bark into the radio as I flip the jumper around and shoot off a few more drones*

I realize my yelling is probably not going to earn me any points, but I think I distracted him too badly when I pulled us up in front of him. *I shake my head* I'll take being yelled at later over having to console you if he got shot out of the sky though...
