A- Aye, She's alright. Bruised up an' weak as anythin', but she's a'right. Why don't ye try to tell us why ye did that, my Love. *he gives me a very confused and slightly irritated look, as if to ask why I would risk my own neck on purpose, then lays a small ice pack against my jaw*

You really want to know? *I look up at Shep and Dell* I did it because I promised Shep that no harm would come to Dell while she was off world with me. And I planned on doing my best to keep that promise. Even if it meant taking the beating I took to keep Dell from taking it. You all should know by now, I will do anything I can to protect my family, and this time it meant ruining my face for a bit. *I shrug slightly and laugh gently* I'm here and I'm alive, and Dell is unharmed. I think I kept my promise.

A- That was brave of ye, Ma' Love. Brave an' incredibly stupid. *he shakes his head in disbelief, but has a slight smile on his face*

*Shep looks from Aang to me and back to Aang*
It was stupid of you Aang but I appreciate it all the same. I understand why you did it, but don't do it again....as it is you have been added to Kevia hit list.

Can you check Dell over Carson, then I'm taking her back to our quarters and get her out of these bloody clothes.
*3 sets of eyes turn to him giving him a variety of looks*

*he rolls his eyes Her clothes are dirty and covered in Aangs blood, alright?

*I take Dell's hand and look at her* I just couldn't take the idea of you being beaten like this. I'm growing a bit tired of spending every waking moment at the bedsides of my family members. It's my turn to be in the infirmary bed this time. *I smile at her and then release her hand* Now go with Shep and change your clothes. I get the feeling A-Carson is going to tell me that I need to rest any minute now.

A- Y' do know me well, Love. Ye sure do. *he looks up at Dell and Shep* Aye, the lass is quite right, she does need ta' sleep some.

*he takes a look at Dell, checks her for any bruises besides the one on her face*

A- Aang's right again, Dell is completely fine aside from a wee bruise on 'er face.

And Shep? You're welcome. *I smile at Shep* Now take Dell to your quarters and get her some clean clothes. Good night, you two.

A- Aye, good night. I'll be down 'ere wi' Aang all night. *he sat down beside my bed and took my hand, it appears I am drifting off to sleep, but he keeps holding my hand and smiling down at me*

ok, bed time for Aang,and time for me to veg out in front of the tv for a bit, still trying to catch up on Grays!
How far behind were you?
-Half of last season and the first few of this season...pretty sure I'm up to this season now, but still not there.

*Shep and I walk hand in hand to our quarters and once inside I shower and put my PJ's on. We get into bed and Shep holds me as I fall asleep. It is a long time before he falls asleep though, he is worrying over the threats Kevia made. But finally with his arms still wrapped around me, he falls asleep too.*

*Having been informed of what happen to Aang & Dell, I was quite worried & felt as though I should be there with them. Instead I found myself pacing nervously up & down the lounge room back in the CCH, with Carson sitting on one of the couches watching me*

= What? Oh. yeah sorry love *moves over to Carson & sits across his lap & he wraps his arms around me*
'Lizabeth 'll inform us, as soon as she knows anythin' new
= I know I just- I just really worry that- what if-
Don' think like tha' love, A-Carson & Sheppard won' allow tha' t' 'appin'
*I lean into Carson & hope he is right*



*few hours later, Carson & I had fallen asleep on the couch, when Carson's earpiece burst to life*
Carson? They've found them. Their home. Dell is ok & Sheppard has taken her to bed after being cleared to leave the infirmary. Aang's a little worse for wear, she got a hell of a beating. She and A-Carson will be spending the night in the infirmary. Thought you'd like to know

*I wake at the sound of Carson speaking*
= What is it? Have they found them? What's happened?
Aye, they're home, Dell's fine, she jus' needs some rest & Sheppard 'as taken 'er t' bed
= And Aang?
She got a good beatin' by tha sounds of it. A-Carson's keepin' 'er in tha infirmary t'night
*look of shock spreads across my face & leap to my feet*
= I have to see her
Ok, bu' we need some'n t' watch Abby. *looks over at Abby asleep on the other couch* I donna' want 'er t' see 'er Aunty all beat up. She still havin' nightmares abou' 'er parents bein' 'urt tha way we were, 's only b'n a few weeks
= Rodney?

*I rush to the hole in the wall that is now Rodney's & I call out, with Carson getting up to follow me*
= Rodney? Rodney are you there?
Yes I'm here *comes to the hole & looks through at me* Hey Beck, what's happened?
= They found them, their home, but Aang is injured & staying in the infirmary tonight. We are going to see her. Can you watch Abby for us?
Sure *he steps through the hole into our lounge room & walks over to sit on the unused couch*

*I grab Carson's hand & we head to the infirmary*

[Aang]

*I wake up, A-Carson has drifted to sleep sitting beside me, holding my hand. It becomes apparent that my jaw is no longer swollen as much, but it still hurts like hell and is black & blue*

A-Carson, wake up my Love.. *I squeeze his hand*

A- *wakes up* Aang, ma' Love, can I do anythin' for ye? *he smiles down at me*

Just be here for me. And give me something to dull the throb in my poor jaw. *I half smile up at him and squeeze his hand once more before I drift back to sleep*

*we come to a halt outside of the infirmary, puffing as we are out of breath since I ran most the way, pulling Carson with me. we take a moment to catch our breath, then we enter*

*we see A-Carson sitting by Aang's bedside holding her hand as she sleeps. He looks up at the sound of us entering & waves us to come in. I walk up to Aang's bed & round the other side opposite to A-Carson. I'm shocked at how badly beaten she is & I gently pick up the hand that's not held by A-Carson. Carson pulls up a chair for me & I sit. I rub Aang's hand gently & A-Carson smiles at me briefly then whispers*

A- I know she looks bad, bu' she'll be fine. She's got a nasty cut on 'er back & a swollen jaw, bu' else, it's jus' alot o' nasty bruises. They shoul' clear up in a week I'd say
= *whispers back* I was so worried, I- I didn't know what to think. I felt like I should have been there. When Weir told me they were captured by Kolya's partner, I feared the worse

*Carson pulls up a chair for himself & sits down beside me, wrapping an arm around my waist & gives me a gentle squeeze. Then we just sit there in silence & I continue to gently rub Aang's hand. Its late at night & I begin to drift off to sleep resting my head on the side of the bed*

Dang it. I didn't know you were here & gonna post that. Should I remove mine?

No, I'll fix mine. I have an idea.

*I feel Beck rubbing my hand and I wake up slightly, enough to see her half asleep at my bedside, smile at her and say something*

Hi Sis. This is quite a switch isn't it? *I squeeze her hand* If it wasn't me, it would be Dell lying here right now and I wasn't about to let that happen again. But like I'm sure A-Carson told you, I'm alright. Don't worry about me.

[Aang]

*I open my eyes at the sound of Aang talking to me & I lift my head*
= yes, this is quite the turn around... I don't like it *I frown* You gave me quite a scare sis. I can't help but worry when my sisters get hurt. If I had known sooner - I would have gone with Shep & A-Carson to save you. It was torture knowing you were out there & in trouble & I couldn't do a thing

Well you're nuts if you think I liked sitting down here for over a week, with your life, Dell's life and both Carsons' lives all depending on me. Sis, I'm nothing more than a Nurse. I did things during that week that no nurse should ever have to do until she finishes her med school training. And you nearly scared the life out of me more than once during that week and a half. *I smile at Beck again, squeezing her hand in mine*

Consider this payback for that. And besides that, it was dangerous enough that A-Carson came with Shep to rescue us. I would have been very very upset if Liz had let you come along and anything had happened to any of you while I couldn't be the one to care for you.
