*I am walking down the corridor with Dell and Beck when my earpiece buzzes to life*
Aang, can I beam you up for a moment? There is a bit of unfinished business I need you to help me attend to. By the name of Rollings, I think?
*I put my hand to my earpiece* Of course, Sam. Just a moment. *I turn to Dell and Beck* Sam needs me to go up to the Hammond for a few minutes, I'll catch up when I'm done there. *press my earpiece again* Okay Sam, beam me up!
*a flash of blue light and I am aboard The Hammond, leaving Dell and Beck in the corridor on the way to Elizabeth's office*
Hello Aang. I've kept Rollings in the holding cell for you, but he's getting antsy and I've got to get him off this ship before the IOA representative comes to inspect it.
Alright Sam, let's go then. *I turn to lead the way from the bridge down to the holding cells*
*as we're on our way, I can hear the snarl of an angry Wraith and I know this is not going to be a fun conversation. I make a mental note to always stay out of arms' reach*
Here, the maximum security cell, best place to keep a Wraith. *she places a hand on the scanner and the door slides open, revealing a barred cell with a very pissed off Rollings inside*
You have interrupted my feeding, and you have cost me any chance of getting back to my own reality. You WILL pay dearly for this, but not with your own lives. *hisses at me, but I do not shrink away from the bars, instead I take a step closer*
Rollings...is that even your name? You had better listen and listen DAMN close. I do not tolerate anyone threatening my family, so I would consider yourself lucky that I haven't ended your life yet. Got it? *I snarl back*
You will pay for what you have done. You will pay for it with the loss of someone very dear to all of you. *he lashes out and I step back, keeping my face cold and unfeeling*
And you will pay for that threat with your own life if you don't tread carefully. *I turn back to Sam* You can beam him down to the holding cell in the city, Evan Lorne is waiting to lock him away for me.
Alright, Aang. *we turn to leave the cell, Rollings muttering threats under his breath as we leave*
*puts a hand to the earpiece* Lorne, are you ready for Rollings?
Lorne: *responding to Sam* Yep, cell is locked, beam him in.
Alright, here goes. Sam out. *she punches a few buttons and the Wraith is beamed into Atlantis' holding cell, where Lorne activates the force field to contain him*
Alright Sam, I best get back to the city myself. Can you get me to where Dell and Beck are?
Sure. Thanks for coming as soon as I asked. *she reaches to shake my hand but I pull her into a hug instead*
Thanks Sam. I..we..are so grateful you're always so willing to be there to help us even if we're going against Jack...
You're welcome. I know how it feels when you want to do what you know is right and it's your own people stopping you from it. Alright Aang, catch you later.
*another flash of blue light leaves me walking up behind Dell and Beck once again*
Hey, I'm back. Just had to deal with Rollings, quite forgotten we had him aboard the Hammond. *I stop talking and my face takes on a worried expression as I think about Beck's dream again*
-Are you thinking what I think you are thinking? I had forgotten about him too, but it makes sense if he forcing bad dreams on us, but Beck? I would understand if he was targeting you or me Aang, we both were working to bring him down, Beck only showed up later after we had him.
I...well I don't want to worry Beck even further, but something Rollings said to me while I was aboard the Hammond has me worried a bit. You do have a point about the dreams, I would understand if it was you or me...even Shep... because last I looked Shep and I are the ones who cost him his last meal and you...were at the center of that whole mess. I didn't even think he knew about Beck as we'd already beamed him to the Hammond before she and Carson revealed themselves...
I know, I was wondering about that, but if they can get in our minds, then maybe he looked to see who we all had in common....and that would be Beck.
*I look over at Beck who is standing a little apart from us with a distracted look on her face*
-enough of this, lets get on and see Elizabeth, set Becks mind at rest.
Yeah, I think...it would also set my own mind at rest a bit if we make this call and be sure Abby's alright. I'm just a little thrown by what Rollings said to me...we'll talk about exactly what he said later, I don't think now's the time. It took a lot for me not to kill him where he stood just now aboard the Hammond but we may need him alive if any of what he said to me proves to be more than an empty threat.
*Dell and I take our places on either side of Beck and we continue to Elizabeth's office*
Ok sent it through Docx, the grammar edits and a few parts that I may have reworded slightly (Um made Dell's parts slightly more uniform to the style of the rest of the story by changing a few of her Kiwi phrases to the American equivalent) --are in blue, and my ending idea is in purple. I almost had her tell their names but then I ended up not doing it...you can if you want though.
