      Well, after all this horror talk about Carson's possible future love life I thought it is time for another "Just Carson" picture, and it's even an addition to the labcoat love!
      So, this is for everyone who's ill at the moment (GateTrippin' and Drwho'srose for example) and for everyone else who can't resist this

        Maybe he plays snooker? he would be good in it -- patient and very very precise but I don't think they would take a snooker table to Atlantis

          On the Cadman relationship, I have always maintained Carson is the only character on the show that could ever have a relationship. My reason's?

          1. He is so darn nice, a doctor and who wouldn't want him as their bf.
          2. He has respect for women, he would never use them so good role model.
          3. It would be so sweet, especially with Cadman because she is strong willed the lesson's to be learned in that relationship would be many and so funny and interesting.
          4. Carson whether we like it or not, is a major/minor character on the show, don't get me wrong I would love to see him in more scenes but he is for now still more in the background and for this reason the writer/s would find his character better to write a relationship thread for, less complicated. Well maybe.

          Having said all that, lets have the writers "blow her up!"

            We should start a thread about how to get rid of Carson's possible love interests. How funny could that get? They could get more creative than some of the fan-fics out there (maybe even start some)

            He did look amazing in that sweater

              What love interests? He was infatuated with Perna in "Poisoning the Well" and she died; now Lt. Cadman has a crush on him in "Duet", whether or not that goes any further is not definitive. I think anything involving Cadman will be McKay-focused because of the shared-body experience.

              As for fanfiction, is there really all that much out there about Beckett? Out of the 1700+ fics over at fanfiction.net, I think about 50 of them--max--are Beckett-centric.

              Ditto on Carson looking awesome in his sweater--lovely to see him in civilian clothes!

                On the fanfic I suppose it depends what you are after? Plus size dosen't matter. I will take one well written fanfic or in my case slash, over dozens of bad ones any day.

                  I hope you are right about the Mckay focused. As much as I don't want to admitt it, our guy just doesn't get the screen time like McKay, so if they do have romance in store for him it should a very very small thing that can be quikly overed look by us that don't want to see it. (P.S. I do like McKay so don't take that wrong) none of the characters could ever have enough screen time as we like unless stargate was on 24 hours a day. that might work.

                  As for the fan fic comment I was talking about fin-fics in general, how they have some strange ideas. not just ones with carson.

                  By the way, I have yet to find a good one with carson. (my 2 year old pounding on the key board makes it hard to search). If anyone has any good suggestions I would be happy to hear them. Thanks

                  Loved all the civilian clothes, the jeans were nice. Nice pictures, even better captions that you guys write. very creative, and funny.

                    I am glad I got back from Vancouver in time to see Duet (woo hoo!). I was in the company of unsympathetic friends who kept me busy-didn't even have time to sneak on over to Bridge Studios just to see the doors of the darn thing!!

                    Anyways, I loved the episode, and of course our Dr. B!! Soooooo many plot bunnies came out of this, I can't wait to start writing. One was the ending-I mean,

                    Carson appeared to look in Rodney's direction b4 grasping Cadman's hand. Then there's that sly smile (IMHO) of Cadman's and McKay's smirk and subsequent sigh

                    mmmm...the brain is about to overload with ideas.

                    DH deserves all the praise he's getting but other than a few places, PM is being vastly overlooked for his fine work. He played a great "straight man" (!) to DH and kept the scenes credible and from being overdone.

                    Seeing that I am on the Thunk thread, I better start a thunking. Loved the lab scene-the sweater-and that sweet smile in the end. I was melting. Everything about this epi solidified why I love Carson.

                    From trying to reason with a Wrait, teasing Rodney, his concern for his friend and an acquaintance who risked her life, to being a gracious third wheel on a date (ugh). The surprised yet non-violent reaction to The Kiss.
                    I could go on and on....

                      Oh, I suppose that would be alright too Really anything to keep them out of a serious ship. I mean, let's establish a deep-rooted Carson character before pairing him up, right?

                      Well, that depends. Do you read slash? I have read some good ones over on Wraithbait....mostly McKay/Beckett but with good Beckett characterization. Most of the Carson fic I've seen on FF.net give him bit parts where he mainly plays Doctor Beckett instead of Carson Beckett. Big difference IMO.

                            One person's "good" is another person's trash. What do you mean by "good"?

                            There's one that's been at the back of my mind since several people in this forum observed how strange it is to see Beckett using Ancient medical devices without any explanation of where they came or why he should trust them any more than he trusts a puddlejumper. "Epidemic" by b7-kerravon is quite readable. No, it's not a ship or slash.
