I wish! America's healthcare system is prohibitively expensive, even if you're lucky enough to have insurance (I do). I don't want to start a debate on it, but it's true that everything costs a ton. Even with insurance, a trip to the ER costs me $200 and 20% of the bill. Nora had to go in September for something relatively minor and it still cost us $280 (with the copay, it was $480, the total bill was well over $1K, just for a 5 minute doctor's consult and simple x-rays!). That's why I'm not going to the ER...Urgent Care copay is only $75 and if I can hold out until tomorrow, the doc's copay is only $25.Originally posted by Dellruby View Post
