I tried reading Kathy Reichs but couldn't fully delve into like I can other books. I suspect that crime/mystery novels aren't my thing. Never read Moby Dick but I want to - is it really that good? My fav. Shakespeare is Macbeth..

Moby Dick is a long, hard going book, I read it on my trip around New Zeland just over 10 years ago... I loved it, but then I know people who hated it, so like most things it's a matter of personal preference.

Kathy Reichs is a nice easy read for me, something that I don't have to concentrate too hard on. I can go through one of the books in a day or so and generally use them to fill time if I'm bored.

I'm like that with Pride and Prejudice. I can read it in a day and I use it for filler when I have a long wait. My personal preference is Fantasy though so if I'm reading one of those books, by one of my favorite authors, then I can totally get through it in a day and use it as filler as well. I love to read, though it gives me a headache.

I don't know many English authors other than the classics though...

I don't actually read that many British Author's - Douglas Adams is one I do like though and I miss his work I kinda like the odd autobiography - Stephen Fry's is fantastic.
