...it's probably a fine Scottish beach....unlike the English beaches which appear to be all pebbles, and the wonderful Aussie beaches which are sand, Scottish beaches must have good solid sensible rocks.

So, today I bought one of the two small birthday presents I'm gonna put in with Paul's birthday card I'm gonna send him...it's just a wee thing but I think he'll like it. And no, I'm not going to say what it is in case he happens to see this post before his birthday (or whenever his agent passes it onto him), it'd spoil the surprise.

...in case he's lurking around here? Well, y'never know...
Good luck! I hope you find out if he liked it...it's been a week since I sent mine, so it might, with luck, have arrived by now!
Hehe, well I'm going to get the parcel sent about 2 weeks before his birthday, I'm not sure how long it takes for airmail from Scotland to Canada. It probably won't be that long but it's better to be safe than sorry I'm going to ask for a signed pic as well in a wee note I'll write and include in the parcel, so an envelope with my address on it'll be included

Good luck with getting a reply!
I'm sure he'll appreciate the gift... whatever it is...
(I'm excited for his birthday, just to find out what your gift is. )

Yup, that should be plenty of time. I always leave extra around Christmas and Easter, but apart from those times, 2 weeks should be ample.
I've had a parcel get to me from the US in two days, once....

ooh, good idea. I didn't feel comfortable asking for one, but maybe he'll send me one anyway?
I hope he likes your pressie...do tell us if he replies, won't you? (here follow several weeks/months of waiting....)
"...and will ye look at this bonnie wee card I got from a lassie over in good auld Scotland...it has a picture of me on it...m'favourite subject...bless."
