It doesn't matter how the right translation is,
as long as you are able to help him, if we're are going to kill him by shaving.)
(allthough the proper fanfiction line is: "you hurt him, you fix him" but i will make an exception in this case)

LOL Oh, I need to not read this thread while I'm working. I'm sure the others in the office are wondering what the frell I'm reading. The whole shaving/spa treatment conversation is cracking me up! I don't know where to volunteer, but sign me up for something!
I'll try to post what I can remember from quickly reading the five pages of posts since I last checked in.
Welcome Fainne, Tiger, Luciana, Meezergater, and any other newbies who have joined recently! I hope you're having a great time on the thread. Sorry the German ones weren't so warm and welcoming. But you're with like minds here, even if they are a bit dirty.
I know a few words/phrases in Finnish thanks to a family friend over there who sends us CDs. It's a very cool sounding language. I ought to try learning practical sentences sometime.
((((Idlewild & Haliyah))))!!! Thanks for offering me a home during FedCon. Heck, we'll all just pull the blankets off the beds and have a good, old-fashioned camp-out on the floor! Think the hotel would mind if we had a campfire?
Not sure if we're doing this in spoilers or not, but about the Kolya thing:
Spoiler:I definitely think Carson has it in him to beat someone up to save a friend, and even shoot someone to save someone. I don't see him killing someone by hand, really, though if the circumstances pushed him far enough, I think about anyone could be capable of that. Of course, whatever damage he does, he knows he can fix up again, so...Hm, makes me wonder for next season if there's anything behind Paul's comment to his fans recently, something about, "Time to kick some ass, Scottish style!"
Fainne, your comic is adorable! Love the little Nessy wagging its tail at Carson. So cute!
Paul's amazingly good at conveying emotion with facial expression. My favorite actors/actresses can say so much without a word. It's subtlety and gives the emotion so much more power. I was watching "The Hive" last night and the scenes where Beckett's taking care of McKay through his withdrawal are very potent. Even Martin Wood commented something about it in his commentary.
As for the episodes at the end of Season 3, I was troubled not to see more reaction from the characters, but just tried to read their reactions to other things in the context of Beckett's passing (McKay's "It's all my fault" when two of his scientists get killed in "Submersion" for one thing). About the only show I know of that really carried through a character grieving the loss of another was the current Doctor Who, fitting in little moments and mentions here and there to convey the pain he was going through. Very powerful.
Gotta go for now, but post more soon! Remember to find some role for me in that bath!

So then everything is clear and everyone's got his/her duty. Now we just need to get Paul to the FedCon - somehow...

thanks for your lovely comment on my comic. I also love actors who can express emotions through facial expression. One look can say more than thousand words.
Hmm, what would your role be... let me think. Wait, you could mix him a drink xDLast edited by Fainne; 11 March 2008, 11:42 AM.

Seti,
I agree with you about the Kolya thing.
Spoiler:Carson would do anything for his friends and loved ones. If it came to the point where he had to fight, then he will fight.
About Dallas, I will find out today if I am going for sure. For some odd reason, my baby brother wants to go. I need to make sure he know how much it cost. I think I am going with Economy ticket. Is that what everyone else is doing?

I have a feeling that the smoke detectors might go off and we could get a little wet
