Carson Beckett/Paul McGillion Thunk Thread

At Shore Leave, I'd asked him if he thought it was more difficult to play villians than heroes, especially being that he's not had a lot of chances to play such characters, and I also told him that I thought he did a really good job with his episode of "Viper".

He started going on about this scene in which he found it really awkward to drive that sports car really fast through alleys and such, and he said they had him do it over and over, like 8 times, because the director kept telling him that he just wasn't doing it cool enough, and didn't look macho enough while he was pulling himself out of the car (the car has those doors that open vertically instead of horizontally). When I said I didn't recall seeing that scene in the final cut, he smiled and was like, "Oh... Whoops!" Poor Paul! I would've liked to drool over seeing him in that suit driving a hot sports car.

oh you didn't tell that story before! It's hilarious, I can so picture his face at the "whoops" part *lol

HAHAHA wait, he was supposed to be seen driving in a cool manner? lol. I wish they'd kept some of that in the episode. All they needed to do was put a leather jacket on him, ha. Don't these directors know anything?!

(((((Twinchaosblade)))))!!! Thank you, and thanks for lighting the candle for her. I can't honestly say this was unexpected. When the doctors are baffled, it's not a great sign. Still, it's hard to say goodbye, especially when I know I didn't e-mail her to say hi nearly enough in recent years. Here's hoping there's a big sci-fi nerd section in heaven where we can all hang out together again.

It would break my heart if Beckett feels abandoned because he thinks no one of the team bothered to help/rescue him...

We think alike. I wondered if they would use that as an extra bit of angst or something to make the reunion all the more emotionally-charged. Here's hoping (if that is the case) that just seeing his friends and how happy they are to see him alive would be enough to cheer him up. (Nice pics too, BTW!)

Oh by the way guys. I live all the way in Oregon and I have school starting on Tuesday from 7:45 to 2:30. I might be able to get on the computer at school during lunch but I'm not sure. I hope so but if I do I hope you don't thunk to much. I can't keep up if I don't post everyday and I am going into senior year and that means lots and lots of work. Wish me luck!

Now I feel bad sharing my own sad news, since we need cheering up more than bringing down. The friend I asked you guys to pray for as her cancer got worse passed away yesterday. At least she was at home with her husband and grown kids and she's not in pain anymore, but the world has still lost a bright and kind soul. Breast cancer sucks, to say the least. Thank you for your prayers/good thoughts anyway. I'm sure they eased her passing.

On a happier note, circle of life kind of thing, I ran into an old friend from high school today. Shortly after graduation, she was diagnosed with a rare cancer of her joints, but apparently it's been in remission now for a few years and she's taking college classes and was even DJ-ing for the beginning of the semester lunch party thing the school held today. So that at least helps me balance my sadness a bit.

No, I didn't fail the pilot exam, that's not due till February or March next year, I still have to apply first. It was just some stupid exam that I failed twice so far and yesterday was the third time. No problem, I have other exams coming up and have to concentrate on making them.

I have three exams: Electrotechnics (I hope I spelled that right), Aerodynamics and Navigation. The last one is the hardest, but I think I'll manage.
