Hi folks. Here's a thought from a newbie.

With regard to the deleted scene from Trio where

Now in Joe M's blog for 12th February, he says that scene will be available on the DVD.

Now I was wondering why. The scene obviously has some relevance to the plot. Most people seem to think that it was with regard to the comments that Sam made after about her own relationship, but I am not so sure. It must be quite important to the enjoyment of future episodes if the scene is considered so important that it should be on the DVD, if you get my meaning.

I also wondered if it is why (I think someone else also said this)

I wonder if this will be in the deleted scenes or put back into the episode? Weird. I assume in with all the other deleted scenes/bonus features. I'm just happy there is still a potential for a R/K relationship. Oh how my expectations have fallen.

Welcome to the thread, Blencathra. Glad you posted here. You raise a very good question. Although, if I remember correctly JM mentioned this scene in his blog to show that there was nothing going on between Ronon and Jenn. But then, we all know that he likes to mislead his fans.

Ronon's reaction to Kelle'rs drink with Rodney depends on how you want to see his character - is he the jealous, protective kind, or is he the remote, detached kind in a relationship? Hopefully we'll find out. It's so frustrating when TPTB bring up scenarios like this and never follow through.

You present an interesting point. If Jenn thinks that Ronon is hard to read, then her asking Rodney out for a drink could be a way to provoke action from Ronon. She obviously knows that Ronon and Rodney are friends. Soo? Hmmm.

I don't think so. We have every SG-1 and SGA DVD set that was ever published (my son, God bless him, asked for them every xmas and bday), but I don't think I've ever seen anything I didn't see on TV. They did it on some of the 24 DVD sets, but there they gave you an option whether you wanted to see the episode with or without the deleted scenes.

It was "Quarantine" that got me hooked on SGA. I was idly watching TV when I suddently thought "WHO is that REALLY HOT guy?!" And a don't mean Rodney!!

Made me sit up and pay attention, I'm telling you!

Yeah, I know! I have this red mark on my head from where I keep smacking myself.

Still, there is an upside to missing it all. I watched all 3 seasons in about 10 days, so didn't have to wait weeks or months for the next episode.

When season 4 finishes & comes out on DVD, I can watch all those delicious episodes that you all talked about earlier in the thread for the first time. All together.

That's what I keep telling myself anyway

Wow - a real SGA marathon.

Well, you can certainly look forward to Season 4. Lots of excellent eps, IMO. Right now I'm just dying to see [I]Midway/I], which will air in the States tomorrow. No Jenn this week, but they'll have

I have to rely on iTunes to get the current episodes myself, since we only get SGA here at least one year later. (They showed Submersion last night, but it's dubbed and I can't take listening to the fake voices in German.)
