I said ages ago that it was all about Teh Sedge! Let's face it, Torri's just Sedge's sidekick.

*still wants a dog in general, lol*

      Excuse-me? Cannes?

So since I live near Cannes I'm gonna cross my fingers and my toes because OMG that would be so great! And for Torri to come too...

The workings of the film industry can be puzzling , some many interesting little films that go unseen

I think I prefer the lesser known films. Mainstream ones are so hyped up and piped full of VisFX etc that they can often be a let-down, or more commonly, only good for a handfull of watch's before they becomes stale.

Lower budget films tend to be better, imo, bc TPTB make the most out of every penny. And they often convey a stronger message.

Same here. They have less money and focuse on the plot, not go here and there like in some other films.
And anyway, any films with Torri are fantastic so...

But really, Cannes this year might be really interesting! Because if Yumi makes it to Cannes, Torri might come and if Glenn makes it too, there might be Patrick Bauchau also... And it'll be the 60th so it's gonna be huge any way!

I'd argue that while Torri is fantastic in them, not all of them are that fantastic.

Nuts! Now I want to go to Cannes.

What would be better than Cannes would be that movies like this are shown more widely. Independant films need to break out of the specialist film festival circuit to really increase their chance of making an impact.
Prehaps independants should look to the dvd market.

Yeah you're right it's more like that!

I'd suggest you'll wait to know about Yumi... And about that, I went to the official site for Festival de Cannes and nowhere they say about when the nominees are gonna be revealed. And a friend of mine didn't know neither last time I asked her... I guess we'll know via Yumi blog!

Yeah, unless my numbers come in, I ain't going nowhere, lol. Okay, so that ain't technically true; I'll be going to San Diego, Vegas, probably London again... but nowhere else, lol.

I'll just thunk over any pretty pictures that come our way instead.

And you realise what that could do to Torri and the others' careers if they at least makes in to Cannes?
