Okay, this is totally OT, but I sorta could use some ideas and I already know you guys are brilliant with that sorta stuff... ah well. I guess I shoulda just left it at 'Ideas anyone?'.

I have to write this 3-5 paragraph essay thing on a memorable day in my life, except those are sorta no such thing. So I figured I could look at the topic through a funhouse mirror sorta. A memorable day in my life: POV someone else who knew me growing up; A memorable day in my life yet to come (is that self-fic? *shivers* sorta disturbing thought); or a memorable day in the life of someone (or something) else (stray dog or.... something).

.... Ideas anyone?

And to get this at least a little on topic:

Hee, no. She seemed to think it was pretty funny herself, which just made me squee. After all, "she'd be cute as a pink elephant" was said in the conversation that led to me making that.

Okay, so, I just saw 'Sunday', and

I don't think I've seen Elizabeth that OOC before. Silly. Up until the explosion, neither her nor Sheppard seemed like their usual selves, and not even the fact that it's their day off could write that off for me. I think I'm just going to pop this ep in the same box as 'Sanctuary', i.e., "not worth watching again".

Yeah, coming to think about it now, I think she's more carefree than OOC, but it's only my opinion.I understand though that some people think she was OOC. I can't help but loved the scene with Carson and esp the 'shut up' part.
Otherwise, the scene with Mike where she tells him she can't date him was totally in character IMO.

Hehe, that 'Shut up' was so cute.

Obviously comments are going to made if Elizabeth dresses up; it's not something she does everyday. So while her going on a date on Earth wouldn't be that big a deal, it is on Atlantis bc it's not something she does everyday. It's bound to attract attention. (And by big deal, I mean more noticible; not big deal as in 'the Wraith are attacking so run for your lives!')

PS. BG, could you please put that lovely pic in tags or re-size it bc it's stretching the forum wider than rules state. Thanks!

I didn't find it too OOC either. It was different for Elizabeth, but not necessarily OOC, and that Carson/Elizabeth scene was just adorable, from her reaction to Carson's 'hot date' comment to the 'shut up'. I guess I sorta drew a bit of a parallel to Teyla's 'mystery marine' there, although more a crush than anything particularly serious. Oh, and the Weir/Teyla scene was cute too. ^.^

Agree with the whole 'Liz ooc thing'

I don't think she was particularly out of character in Sunday. We were just seeing a new layer to her. How many times in the last 3 years have we seen her on down down time? Erm, not many. We finally get to see Elizabeth the woman' and not 'Elizabeth the Leader.'
I mean, even when she was with Simon on earth she was in a semi-leader mode... she was trying to recruit him.
I personally thought it was refreshing to watch. I loved seeing her being quite flirty and smiling. And I loved how nervous she was when she went to see Teyla. That little "hrmph" she did before she walked out was so cute!

I'm definately gonna be watching this episode again.
