I think that is great idea. He did love the ladies. Posting the screen caps sounds good to me. Even including the Wraith Queens.
I love her fighting skills too. And in this episode, she kicked some butts.
Good points!
Who bright idea was it to let McKay talk to the natives anyway? Did I ask that question! I know the answer. In this episode, we have a woman show some romantic interest in Rodney, but comes to find out that the interest was fleeting once he informed her that her that they weren't the Ancestors. I agree with your comments about Rodney. Diplomacy is not his strong point, or him being personable with the people who work with him sometimes. Although at times it makes for some funny moments with him and Radek.
And agree with you too if Teyla was allowed the screen time with Alina, I do think she could have persuaded them to give the Lanteans the ZPM. Teyla has something in common with these people that Rodney does not have. She is from the Peagsus Galaxy, so she shares similar experiences with these people.
Great icons!
But...But....Wouldn't that require Teyla to actually, ya know........Talk
I think we were all a bit in shock about what happened to Wraithlord.
I shall continue with the next episode, since Before I Sleep doesn't have much Teyla action anyway.
So onto the next one which is... *drumroll as she looks it up*
The Brotherhood
You'll have till Sunday (15th of February) to do one of five things.
1) Pick one favorite Teyla-scene and explain why it's your favorite. It's not a crime to post a screencap of that scene if you have the power to do so.
2) Post screencaps from the episode, of course with our Goddess in the spotlight.
3) Do artwork or write something that fits with this episode (like an episode tag drabble or icons, wallpapers, signatures)
5) How do you think Teyla felt about the Brotherhood not willing to give up the ZPM to them?
Note: when quoting delete the [IMG ][/ IMG]-tags.
First of all I don't remember it a ot except the sensation that I love it particularly thanks to the team and I have to say that Teyla was particularly pretty once again
1) Pick one favorite Teyla-scene and explain why it's your favorite.
The brawl in the Chamber of Secrets Quindozem's rathole. Teyla took out two armed Genii goons with one itty-bitty knife, and her guys -- unlike Ford and Sheppard's -- stayed down. I know Teyla sometimes gets Flanderized as Xena, but I do love her fight skills.
2) Post screencaps from the episode, of course with our Goddess in the spotlight.
Major, are we certain Kolya is not in fact a Replicator? How do you know about Replicators? I can, in fact, read, Doctor McKay. Sentient meccano-spiders that cannot die attracted my attention.
5) How do you think Teyla felt about the Brotherhood not willing to give up the ZPM to them?
Conflicted. On the one hand, Teyla had worshipped the Ancestors herself for most of her life. Only recently had she discovered that the Ancestors were in fact human beings who had run away to another plane of existence and had no intention of helping humanity. I think she could see where Alina was coming from in her blind faith. At the same time, Teyla did know that the Ancestors had left humanity to the Wraith and that the ZPM would keep Atlantis (the hope of Pegasus humanity) safe, and so I think she shared McKay and Sheppard's frustration.
I also think that if Teyla had been allowed any screen-time with Alina at all, Teyla would have been able to go back and at least convince the Neo-Quindozem to lend the Lanteans the ZPM to preserve Atlantis when the Lanteans found out the Hives were on the way with the understanding they'd hand it back afterward.
That being said, I think the whole problem stems from letting McKay talk to the natives. I love Rodney, but diplomacy is the first thing on the list of Things Rodney McKay Can't Do and Shouldn't Be Allowed Near With a Ten Foot Pole. All Rodney had to do was explain the Four Great Races, the Plague, the return to Earth, and the ATA Gene and everything would have been fine, but no. He just stopped at "we're not the Ancestors." *facepalm* (Nevermind that the non-SG-1 viewers needed all that information as well. That one scene could have nipped all the Conquering Earthers wank in the bud.)
DragonLady
LOL well said about the pic.
I love too her fighting skills and honnestly it's one of the reason why I love her and why finally it was sad to make Ronon too much like this It was fun and great she was herself the warrior and could win anybody but she wasn't only a fighter
It will be hard to say more because really i don't remember it but I remember about what you said you're right that McKay was too much n it and once again it was more fun than advancing (?) for the storyline
