you know..I have one of the first ones.....the thing with photoshop is that it's complicated and not userfriendly...so for me, for what I do, which is only this...it's not worth the investment....

Well, you're right. It's not userfriendly at all if you don't take classes or take the time to explore the program with the help of tutorials or books. And if you only use it as a hobby and nothing more I wouldn't suggest buying it. Check it out, get a demo or download an illegal version and make up for yourself if you want to get the program or not.

I, obviously, need it to do my job so I have it and I love it. But there's enough programs out there that are far easier to use and don't cost as much or are free even.

Well, yes and no...the question was posted and we do a lot of artwork here so it's part of the learning process.

Like I wrote, I have an earlier copy of CS. I"m not sure which one but I have it. I bet if I start playing with it now more, I could do more since I"m a bit familiar with using some of the graphics and stuff. But yeah, it's not worth it for me since I only do this stuff and nothing more.

I use Photoshop CS2 (would love to get my hands on the CS3 though). As a graphic designer I don't really use any other photo-programs. I love my CS2.

i use GIMP for all my artwork it took me many months to figure out how to use it properly and even today i still am finding new things on it

To be quite honest, the background took up the most work. It's part tutorial, part me...lots of me actually. And the rest was just simply putting Teyla in the mix and copy and paste the text (font = Carolingia).

Also, for future reference, I"m in the process of capping all three seasons with emphasis on Teyla and John in my new LJ. All caps will be HR and will be large caps as well. All John and Teyla caps individually and together will be posted in the entries while the rest of the caps for all the episodes will be in zip format.

Right now Wikkedangel *my partner in crime* and I are capping Season 3 and working our way down to Season 1.
