        I think the superior attitude he sports more then negates the whole "not dying" thing. For some reason his attitude(the whole "I'm better than you AND I have shiny hair" complex) and just his whole character rubs me the wrong way so I tend to count it as one of those "he should have been dead" roles

          I agree, I really wasnt impressed with the character. Not sure if it was the writing or the acting, but I cant believe I'm saying this - I really didnt like it that well.

                  @Sci -- I think it was a combination of the writing(I think they wanted to portray him in that "bad guy" air so that we would be inclined to want what's-his-face to get the girl(which actually just really annoyed me) and the acting. I think that the way it was written didn't give him much to act on, so he did the 'best' he could with what he was given and that was what came out(but it was much like his role in "Due East" either love it or hate it.

                  @EB -- Yeah this time around I only watched for Kavan the first time around(in theaters) I think I actually went for the movie

                  And yes, yes he does have shiny hair in the movie. Its *always* the first thing I notice. Not the uniform or the attitude but its all "GAH! Shield your eyes its the shiny hair!"

                        True, they didnt give him much to work with in the writing department. He was portraying an arrogant character, but I think the reason it came across so corny was because it was Kavan. Might not of been so critical if it had been someone else. As for his role in "Due East", I dont really love it or hate it - I just dont like his attempt at the southern accent (I know, I've said it before).
