And I don't want to start a fight or an argument here, but I did want to say something I've noticed. When we're talking about Lorne's name the two "most popular" are Marcus and Nick.

But the more I've read the more I've found it seems that Marcus is the "het" name used for Lorne and at least 98% of the fics I've clicked on that I've begun to read and realized were slash are Nick!

I guess whatever name they finally decide to call him, Lorne will always be Marcus to me

I know Major Davis got the first name "Paul" because of his fans, but as far as I know he's the only one. I think most characters don't get a first name at all, but I don't pay close enough attention to say that with 100% conviction.

Also found this interesting info about Kavan and his BLADE role from someone else who went to Dragon*Con:

The coolest thing I learned, however, is when talking to Kavan he said he didn't have to audition for the role of Alex. I asked him why, because they saw him on Stargate or some other show? And he said no, because he had auditioned for the role of Marcus!! Obviously he didn't get it, but the producers still had his audition on tape, so that's what they used to pick out who was going to play Alex. Also, he said that Jessica Gower was one of the sweetest, nicest people he's ever met IN HIS WHOLE LIFE. Wow!

Ah, so THAT's why he likes the name Marcus. LOL!
