Is Dex The Sex? Jason Momoa talks Stargate Atlantis
News Tuesday, August 31 by Captain

Jason Momoa, as Ronon Dex on Stargate: Atlantis, is a man of few words.

      Very few words.

His bemuscled charm brought a brute strength to the series that has since seen him gone on to tackle Conan: The Barbarian.

With Season 4 of Stargate Atlantis hotting up with the upcoming 'Midway', which features the awesome team up of Ronon Dex with SG-1's Teal'c, we thought it only fit and proper to post an interview with the man behind the muscles.

He's a man full of surprises, including a heartfelt love for Australia.

This is one title we’ll enjoy adding to the “city girl needs to move to the country to find a man” genre: Growing the Big One, starring Shannen Doherty and Stargate: Atlantis’ Kavan Smith, premieres Oct. 23 on the Hallmark Channel. The synopsis: “Radio DJ Emma Silver (Doherty) leads a chic city life in Seattle until she finds out her beloved grandfather has died. Traveling to his farm in quaint Valleyville, Washington to take care of the details, she is stunned to learn her grandfather has left her his farm, along with a sizable amount of debt. To keep the bank from foreclosing, Emma must find a way to raise the money, or face seeing her grandfather’s precious land end up as a parking lot.

Not sure if this been said, I don't think it has, but a new tv series is suppose to air sometime in November that has David Hewlett and Robert Picardo. It's called Morlocks which is based on H.G. Wells novel The Time Machine.
It'll be on Syfy; I'm not sure about Space in Canada; I'm quite sure it'll be on Space as well, eventually.

Gateworld said something about this back in March:

              There is always one.

                http://communities.canada.com/thepro...g-shortly.aspx

                NEWS: Screening shortly . . .

Mark Ratzlaff, 25, has a day job editing and shooting documentaries for TV, but always has a fictional project brewing in his spare time. Three of his four short films have played the Vancouver International Film Festival, the latest of them being the retro black comedy Voodoo.

The movie stars Camille Sullivan (of TV's Shattered and Intelligence) mixing equal parts Indiana Jones and Barbara Stanwyck as a globe-trotting explorer-scientist who comes home with some magic to get rid of her mousy accountant husband (Stargate Atlantis's David Nykl). Hubby, meanwhile has a thing for the young bride next door (Ali Liebert), pining for her soldier husband (Giles Panton) off in Europe fighting the Second World War.

The resulting film, expanded from a very short story by 1940s pulp writer Fredric Brown, has astonishing scope in its just more than 10 minutes running time, going from a 1940s suburb to the explorer's unnamed jungle, to those Second World War battlefields, with a quick stop at a Casablanca-style airport and a ride with a retro cabbie (Fringe's Eugene Lipinski), all shot in lushly-lit black and white.

The original NBCU press release listed the upcoming movies for Syfy as: THE LOST FUTURE (airing Nov. 13), followed by SCREAM OF THE BANSHEE and MORLOCKS.

In checking the Syfy schedule, due to the holidays, immediately following The Lost Future on Nov. 13, they are programming repeats on Saturdays. EDit: Correction, new movie Triassic Attack airs on Nov. 27th, followed by repeats through December.

My guess is that Morlocks won't air until 2012, possibly late January earliest, and possibly air on Space Channel immediately following the premiere on Syfy.
