    Mazz's terribly British thread, chaps!

Everyone else has one, so I want one.

I'm going to sit here, drink tea and reminisce (sp?) about British children's tv, and just be generally very British. (And revel in the fact that we have real chocolate )

So, please leave your fenders, faucets and sidewalks at the door, and make sure you bring the extra 'u's for 'colour' and 'humour', and take a seat on one of the settees.

Disclaimer. This post may or may not be very tongue in cheek.

Could someone be kind enough to pass me the cream for my scones? (Passes M.W. the honey for her tea.)

As a non-Brit (okay, I'll admit it - an uncultured American), would someone explain the difference between a scone, a biscuit, and a crumpet? They would all be cakey-type things, yes? And crumpets under the grill. . .that would be "toasting" them? I'd just say, "y'all toast the danged bread".

I'm not too sure about these chocolate biscuits and, especially, the cucumber sandwiches. But I can whip up some greasy fried chicken and okra for all ya!

Folks here all sound so proper - its just not right!
