Looks better, although I'd put The Road Not Taken after McKay and Mrs. Miller as Sam talks to Alt. Rodney regarding the experiments the other version of him and Jeannie do in that episode.

I am pretty sure that the trip to Atlantis in Avalon is the one seen in Intruders though

as i said earlier i want to keep it simple and clean and don't want to have to give numbers to the episodes so they'll be in the exact chronological order and completely mix SG1 and SGA. that would be a mess.


The Dauedalus made many trips to Atlantis from Earth, so the one in Avalon didn't have to be the same as the one in Intruders, so i'm not going to push the Atlantis episode in between those SG1 episodes.
i'm trying to keep it simple, alphabetically seperating SG1 from SGA in the best possible way for the dvd to show them by the correct order. i could give numbers in front of the "SG1/SGA" to make any order i like but i don't think its necessary in this case of "Intruder" because there are no real continuty problems to be worth this mess.

Oh I also just Remembered that "Prometheus Unbound" should take place before "message from Pegasus" because Hammond said in that episode they haven't heard anything from Atlantis. So i'll be correcting that as well.

I plan to burn all the episodes on dvds according to this list.

I just don't see the point in mixing the episodes up together. Why not just have 10 seasons of SG-1, 5 seasons of Atlantis, and three movies? Why make things complicated when they can be kept simple?

because some things that are mentioned on one show are connected to things that happened on the other show. because SG1 seasons 8-10 happened in parallel to Atlantis season 1-3.

Yes, there are references to each other, but not to the extent that watching one show without watching the other has you confused. My sister watches Atlantis, a show with many crossovers with SG-1. She doesn't watch SG-1 at all. She doesn't have any problems with following the show.

Sure you can watch just one series without watching the other and still enjoy either. But for those watching both shows, watching in the order suggested in this thread will give one a better understanding of the overall continuity.

For example, "Lost City" (S7) introduces Dr. Weir, who we then see again in the the season 8 opener "New Order". At the end of this epsidoe she mentions she's moving to the Antarctic base, after which we see her in the SGA opener "Rising". There's a definite continuity here. Granted, it won't kill your enjoyment or understanding of either series if you miss this order but it makes more sense to view as such.

Another example is SG1's "Pegasus Project" (S10), where the team visits Atlantis, in itself a series' highlight for fans of both shows. If one simply watches all ten seasons of SG1, without seeing SGA, the impotance of the crossover will likely have less significance.

Having only gotten into Stargate recently, I don't really know how (or how often) SG1 and Atlantis reference each other. What's a good way to watch them both together?

I think the time frame has more to do with how long it takes Richard Woolsey to arrive on Atlantis aboard the Daedalus, which we know takes around three weeks to travel between galaxies, rather than the time it takes for Sheppard to recover from his injuries.
