What a great way to kick off season 7. The writing was terrific and I think all of the actors were outstanding. I was really afraid of where they were going with Cas, but I was so enthralled by the end, that I'm ok with seeing where it takes him.

Wasn't expecting them to resolve the Cas as god thing so quickly, but I like that they did and got that out of the way as he was way too powerful in that state. Poor Cas. I really think he might be dead for good this time.
I wasn't expecting the Cas is God thing to go away so quickly either. But now we have the Cas is Leviathan thing going on. So, well have to see how that turns out.

I also don't think Cass is dead either.

If he is a lot of fans will be pissed off.

Which I think is an interesting turn. There was no way the brothers could go up against Cas as god so this gives them a fighting chance and makes "Cas" more of an adversary. This doesn't put Cas back to normal just like that. So it is following through with repercussions rather than a complete resolution in one ep.

I know it would piss off a lot of people if they did kill him, which is why I think they just might do it. Not to deliberately piss people off but because most will think there is no way they'd do it. And with MC no longer a regular and only in one other ep so far, I think this might be it for Cas...especially if they don't get a pick up for an 8th season. And while I'd hate to have Cas die, I think it could work great in the story.
          IMO always implied.

I hope they don't get an eighth season. I would've been fine if they stopped at fifth myself.

I'm on the fence. I guess a wait and see what they do with this season. I'd hate to see SPN go as it's on the ever shrinking list of shows I watch, but it can't go on forever.

And yet somehow you're still here. That's the power of the Winchester's for you.

                ---

What a great start to Season 7.

Loved that it carried on straight off from last season, dealing with the cliff hanger ending and then didn't hang around dealing with Cas going off the rails.

Seeing Cas in Heaven surrounded by all the smitten angels was an incredibly powerful scene. You knew from seeing it that he wasn't going to mess around....and he didn't.

He decided to punish the hypocritical preachers and cynical politicians (well who wouldn't?) Although the massacre was a bit extreme....but kind of necessary to prick Cas' conscience.

Had to smile at seeing Cas imprinting his trench coated image in the stained glass and then going out and performing miracles.

As soon as I saw the slippers pacing the floor I knew it was Crowley. I recognised the walk. A lot of fun seeing him hiding in the trailer ... almost resigned to his fate and genuinely surprised that Cas let him live...but didn't waste an opportunity to wriggle out of his precarious situation.

“I gather this is not a negotiation.”
                “No.”
                “Then I graciously accept.”

Nice to see Dean working on the Impala. The one thing that remains a constant in his life.

I cheered seeing Mark Pellegrino again. But poor Sam...he's obviously been put through some serious mind frelling to make him think he's still in the Cage.

And don't worry Stars...I don't think there's any chance of S6 not having happened....because none of the other things happening with Cas, Dean and Bobby would make any sense. It's just a torturing device to demoralise Sam. But it'll be interesting to see if they're going to go with Lucifer influencing Sam from the Cage or if it's all in Sam's broken mind.

The whole scene with Death was great. The look of it and the interaction between Dean and Death. They're all so terrified of him...like they should be...but they still have the guts to mess with him. It could so easily be ridiculous...but it isn't. Far from it. The acting and the writing really are perfect.

Never thought I'd feel so emotional at the end thinking Cas lay there dead. But as soon as he drew breath I knew something else would happen. We weren't going to get away that easily!
Whether Cas is really gone for good we don't know...but I'm glad that there was some redemption for him and a bit of forgiveness on Dean's part. It does feel as if he's not coming back though.

Cue the next big bad - with Misha having fun!

Oh yes... I reckon I'm the only fan who doesn't know what a grey poupon is.

But then again, I'd never heard of anime p*rn either. So I checked it out on Super Wiki (yes..I know: some things are best left unknown) and now I need some brain bleach. This show is so educational.

                Some great quotes as usual.

                Bobby calling Death “Your honour.”

“We all saw him. No beard, no robe. He was young and…and sexy. He had a raincoat—”

“Hi Sam - long time no spooning.”

“You never left Sam. You're still in the cage...with me.”

lol. I laughed when he said that. It's "fancy" mustard. In the US many many years ago, they used to run commercials for it where rich people would ask other rich people for it. Here's one and lol...someone commented about Dean saying this in SPN.

No comment on the anime porn, though I had no doubt that it existed considering some of the weird stuff that comes out of Japan in the way of anime and video games, etc.

I can go and re-watch Dean saying it now...and know what it means.

Nope, thats just a land mine.

And FYI, Anime Porn is called Hentai and its still better than some horrible viral videos I have seen.
                          Fuzzy Wuzzy wasnt old,
                          Fuzzy Wuzzy gotten bald
There was Fuzzy no more Wuzzy

Yeah, hands down Hentai has the most bizarre stuff I've ever seen. Ugh.

Let me put it this way, it's also called tentacle porn.

                            Yeesh.

                            Scarred for life.

Actually, I thought the massacre was the Leviathan raising its ugly head for the first time. But I may be wrong.

Or maybe a bit of Lucifer's 'essence' managed to escape the cage on Sam's shirttails? I can't wait to find out how they're going to play that.

Not sure we'll ever really know but I was thinking that that was the moment when Cas realised what he'd done and wanted to fix it.

Me too. After all the discussions on what was up with Sam early in the last season...it'll be interesting to find out if in fact Luci did somehow attachment himself to Sam but was restricted because of the wall. But now is free to play his games.
