But Novus means 'New' so your Terra Novus would mean Earth New, you would have to make it Novus Terra to mean New Earth, which I think sounds cooler anyway
Anyone remember what the continents were called again? Something like Futuro and Terra-something? I forget...
I based it off the latin arangement of the words ( in other words; relatively random placement )
Plus I find that "Terra Novus" is nicer to pronounce, it rolls off the tongue.
I really liked the name Novus, it sounds cool and fits with this concept of an entirely new human civilisation ( which frankly eclipsed almost all human civilisations in the pegasus and milkyway galaxies, bar a couple like earth, the Aschen etc. ) but I wondered what I'd call the planet if I were there..
Since I think Novus is a cool name I would change it a tiny bit:
"Terra Novus"
New Earth, or New Land.
I'm a warhammer 40K fan and there Earth is called Terra, so that might be why
What would you call the planet?
Given what little I know about Latin, the grammatically correct name would be Terra Nova.
