Hey, I was wondering if there was anyone at all who had some form of information regarding Anubis' cloak

no it doesnt, his shield keeps him intact, the cloak is just a regular cloak

It's probably to give him a more human look. The shield effect, seen in his "face", is rather translucent from what we saw, and would be rather silly to go around like that. It probably also holds the shield generator.

Because the fabric could be reused for another costume.
