The Thirteenth Challenge
Part I
For the Thirteenth Challenge Part I you will be creating a New Winner Signature
for the challenge winners. The dimensions will have to be 95 pixels in height and 750 pixels in width. Those are the only restricitions for this part so cheers and Happy Photoshoping!
Part II
For the Thirteenth Challenge Part II you will be creating Gunship. There are the normal restrictions and if doesn't have to be for a specific race. But keep it reasonable because you want to be able to win it in the end. All submissions are due on March, 25 2010 at Midnight GMT. If you want to do something and think it's against the rules, go check them out they are on the first post. Cheers and Happy Modeling!
You can do either or, you don't have to submit both. Same submission date for both.Last edited by boberth2o; 24 February 2010, 07:46 PM.

Committee Member II
Spoiler:-Member Name - lord groovy
-Ship Name - Asra'tak
-Ship Specs – 1 The specs felt lacking, like they were a last minute job.
-Ship Use - 2
-Real Life Stargate Tech – 1 The write up does not seem to really touch much into the tech used.
-Presentation - 2
-Originality - 2
-Style - 3
-Other – 2 It takes the original goa’uld ship concept and presents it in a familiar but fresh way.

-Ship Use - 2
-Real Life Stargate Tech - 3
-Presentation - 3
-Originality - 2
-Style - 2
-Other – 1 Despite being a well made ship the design feels a bit generic (could fit in any sci-fi show) and the path from goa’uld made ships to new jaffa ships does not feel clear.

Member Name - thekillman
-Ship Name - Ash'tak
-Ship Specs – 2 Very informative write up but it seemed to focus more on history than the ship itself. Personally I would have added an extra paragraph or two about the ship.
-Ship Use - 3
-Real Life Stargate Tech - 3
-Presentation - 2
-Originality - 2
-Style – 1 The design comes off a bit bland.
-Other – 1.5 The addition of the background history was a nice touch but it did over shadow the ship.
-Total – 14.5

Delphin Class Information
Spoiler:As the knowledge of the Stargate program, Atlantis and Earth’s expanding fleet of interstellar ships was entrusted to more and more nations of Earth. The next stage in the development of Home World Security was to make it an international force, each nation put forward sections of their military to form a new force to defend Earth and its interests.
After past events of the Stargate program and Atlantis Navy factions in Home world Security requested funding for a new project, a submarine capable of being deployed from a ship to a large body of water. With Asgard sensors and advanced shields the sub can explore deeper than any other before. The ship is relatively small to keep the costs of the project lower, build more for the budget and maximise ships power use for defence and sensors.
The design favoured was named the Delphin class selected as the proposed design favoured speed and defence over offence. As internal space is at a premium on any ship especially a submarine weapon systems were reduced down to a single forward firing energy cannon and ten naquadah torpedoes; favouring more naquadah generators and the stealth technology from the Parsonii class named chameleon armour.
The main problem with cloaking technology is the power requirements; the chameleon armour is different than a cloak in that its hull is composed of a material capable of bending light around the object when a small electrical current is passed through it. Another addition is its dark tone of the composite, hiding the ship in dark environments when the armour is not in use.
