My personal opinion is that it is far too glowy. I mean really think of all the energy that is lost producing that, while cool looking, waste light.

considering each of them probably puts out trillions of kilojoules per second (it's gotta be a massive uppgrade from the first, since o'neills are so much more powerful) a bit of waste light isn't a huge problem ^^

EDIT: and btw, just to make clear, the engines aren't part of the NIG, the NIG is just the three pipes at the underside.

I think 3 pipes is a tad excessive, since the Beliskner only had one line of them, and it had three NIG in there already.

ok, since it might be a bit overkill with 3 MK II (guess thats what they are) NIGs, i might dowgrade it to just one. should cover the ships powerdemand, and if not, the bigger guns could have independant naq. gens.
